My cuban neighbor who has most of her family still living there, says that it is well known that if you are critical of the government on the phone, you will disappear.
I hope these people can avoid the kind of fate we sadly see in most communist countries when people voice complaints and protest.

anyone remember how Havana was glorified in the media under Obama? even this board, because of the media--people thought it was cool that Obama went to Havana with AF1 and partied with Castro.
there is a reason Cubans walk through no mans land full of land mines to try to make it to the USA NE Gate in GTMO.
imagine being a Marine in a very tall tower at the NE Gate GTMO watching women trying to run and leave Havana for GTMO NAS. the Marines watch in a large pair of binoculars called big eyes. they are carrying babies, limbs & heads blow off trying to get to freedom.
yet democrats vote in what they risk death to escape.

Wait, I thought the socialized medicine system in Cuba was suppose to be a model for the world. Are you trying to say that the commies in Cuba have been lying to the world and showing the few parts of the system that actually work and that the liberals here in the USA were dumb enough to believe them? I cannot believe such things. You sir must clearly be fake new.
Oh wait NVM. I completely believe you because I have been saying the same thing since 2016. One of my professors was a doctor from Cuba and she arranged for some of the MS2s to go to the Cuba and see the system firsthand. We got to see both the showcase parts of the Cuban medical system which was very impressive and the parts of the system that they showed people that they thought were good but were not showcase quality. Those were not any better than what you see in rural La, Ms, WV, etc and were less efficient. I didn't get to see the majority of the healthcare system but I imagine it looks like the healthcare system in Ukraine and Russia (shitty and corrupt).
