Nancy takes another L....

quote:

House Democratic leaders on Thursday abandoned a second attempt to clear the Senate-passed bipartisan infrastructure bill as progressives held firm to their refusal back it without a concrete agreement on a separate social spending package.

It's the second time House Democratic leadership has punted the bill and it came after President Biden made a rare visit to the Capitol to beseech House Democrats to help him advance his agenda as a matter of demonstrating that American democracy can still function.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her leadership team wanted to clear the bipartisan infrastructure bill to give Biden a legislative victory as he departs for Europe for a Group of 20 meeting and climate change summit, as well as boost Democratic gubernatorial candidates in Virginia and New Jersey.

The bipartisan infrastructure bill would also renew federal highway programs that are currently set to expire on Oct. 31. The House will instead vote Thursday night on another extension through Dec. 3.

This vote doesn’t happen by Tuesday night and it may never happen.

Good....I want to see so much gridlock between all of the factions that NOTHING gets done since it's all bad at this point anyway.

At this point, I'm starting to believe Dems have no intentions of passing this bill, which would actually be a win for America.

It’ll get passed soon but any delay is a bonus at this point.

Nancy never brings a bill to the floor unless she has the votes.

Keeping things in pisses some Dems off. Taking things out pisses off others. Hate to see it.

You know, it’s fun to mock The Squad for being stupid. But the fact of the matter is, we as a nation should feel blessed that they’re so clueless.

Why?

Because if, instead of grandstanding for social media clicks and likes from their equally retarded bases, they acquired an understanding of the true nature of politics - which is supposed to be the art of compromise - they’d be really dangerous. We’d be all kinds of fricked.

You wonder if the squad is holding out for that 450K guarantee to the illegals, they would come over on the vote and any dem close to moderate would walk away, or start packing their shate for home cause they would never win in a district that is anything but pure blue.

I mean, does it matter at this point TT? Literally everything "The Squad" ran on is out the window right now. Student Loans, Paid Vacation, Healthcare, all of it. and now that the political reality is hitting them all square in the face the ones with boat payments and girlfriends they have to keep happy all of a sudden are getting cold feet.

As they say, never attribute to malice that which you can attribute to stupidity. And this 450k settlement is nothing more than a distraction.
