Uh, statutes get amended all the time. But they keep their original title.

Department of Energy ? How could the Atomic energy act of 1948 give sole classification authority to a department (DOE) that was established in 1977 ?

That’s what I’m wondering. Unless they amended the AEA.

The Federal government has been lying for fifty years, but they're telling the truth this time.

Sounds like they're admitting Trump declassified everything. Meaning they have nothing.

My question is they took 15 boxes of evidence was each one documented upon taking it from MAL who is to say the upstanding officials from the FBI wouldn't add a page or 2 of super-duper secret nuclear documents

Did you fall for the Trump/Russia collusion hoax? Do you still believe Trump is a Russian asset? If you answered yes to both questions I can see why you believe Trump really has top secret/SAP nuclear documents in his possession. Do you TDS lunatics ever tire of being wrong? Lol

I was referencing the OP and the written clip they posted ….

The clip talked about nuke secrets and the OP just blipped over that part-

But nice melty melt by being triggered over a perceived TDS post

And former Presidents take the highest security level with them to the grave, so he can have all he wants.

If only the DOE was part of the Executive Branch.

I love how, with absolutely no confirmation whatsoever, the media has decided that the nuke rumor is true to the point where they're discussing the nuances of a nuke-related prosecution against Trump

We shouldn't be surprised at anything they do. They ran with the fake dossier. They ran with the non-existent piss tape. They ran with "Russian Collusion". Many of these people are the same assholes that were assuring us in Dubya's years that Karl Rove had been indicted that his arrest was "imminent".

The difference between Q Anon types and these types is that these types are fans of and work in the media itself.

Here is the real talking point: none of the criminal statutes listed in the warrant require the documents to be "classified". Whether Trump declassified the documents may be irrelevant.

The warrant lists 3 criminal statutes the FBI claimed to have probable cause were violated. They may fail to prove violations of one or more of those, but they are free to add additional charges if warranted.

One statute relates to the theft or destruction of government documents. Doesn't matter what type of documents.

The second is basically an obstruction ststute criminalizing the concealment or destruction of documents with the intent to obstruct an investigation or administration of any matter. Again. The nature of the documents is irrelevant.

The espionage statute is the big one, and it broadly criminalized the unauthorized retention or disclosure of information relating to national defense. No mention of classification of the documents, as the statute was written before the classification system existed. The question will just be whether the information was secret and potentially harmful to the US.

Nope. Nor will I. I never thought Biden would be a good President, but I was voting against Trump. Everything he has done since election night confirms my belief he is unfit for office.

This raid has nothing to do with what Trump did, it’s about what he had and who it implicated!!

You would rather vote for inflation and a bad economy because you dislike Trump? That makes zero sense.
