He said the right thing. Some people...

Did he say anything about his sons?

Okay, I'll bite, how so? Seems to me he said the right thing.

Did he mention his imaginary figment son?

I'm not a fan of Obama but to bitch about that statement is asinine. There's nothing wrong with what he said

Um....so rioting and looting are now classified as peaceful protests?
Peaceful protests yesterday evening were met with rubber bullets and tear gas.

Yeah, it's a little ridiculous. Some on this board have adopted the tactics of leftists in the waning years of the Bush presidency.

Les Miles has lost control of Obama's sense of reality

What would you have said to keep it "real"?

He said there is never an excuse for violence against police, but there is also no excuse for police to violently break up the peaceful protests of citizens exercising their 1st Amendment right to lawful assembly.
How dare he say such a thing.
When Oduma stated there is also no excuse for police to violently break up the peaceful protests of citizens exercising their 1st Amendment right to lawful assembly he gave the impression that the cops actually violently broke up the peaceful protests of citizens exercising their 1st Amendment right to lawful assembly.
In reality that didn't happen and Oduma has no business implying that it did.
Oduma only gave the rioters a justification for continuing to riot.

That's not an impression, that actually did happen last night.

Have the police broken up lawful assemblies? If they haven't then what was Obama's purpose in raising the issue? There are laws that govern peaceful protests. Have the protesters in Missouri been in compliance with those laws such that they are entitled to the protections afforded lawful assemblies? All it takes is one act by a person in the assembly to convert the assembly from lawful to unlawful.

I am always cheering for the kids at the Special Olympics for trying their best, but that does not mean I am impressed by them.

bullshite.
After what has happened the last few nights the cops know what's going to continue to happen.
They should declare a dusk to dawn curfew and arrest anyone who is roaming the streets after dark.
The peaceful protesters can continue to peacefully protest and exercise their 1st amendment right to peacefully assemble during the day but once the sun goes down anyone on the street should have their arse thrown in jail before they get a chance to riot and/or loot.
