Say a guy joins on a 6 year contract and elects split option. First almost 2 years this guys in training and not at the unit. Then he decides he wants to cut off his wang and get a set of knockers. He then starts the 2-3 year process of transition with mental evaluations and estrogen treatments. This goes on till hes ready to have surgery on year 3. Now this asshat has been medically non deployable for 5/6 years of its contract. Go cut your wiener off but don't waste my time holding up a slot someone else can be qualified in.

Yep. Basically a whole contrace with very little to with actually being a soldier.
I'll admit I don't know anything about post op but I assume they have to stay on hormones and maybe other stuff. I'm not evem sure they can be deployed after recovering from surgery.

Problem is we know that Transgendered have an unusually high suicide rate.
Now you add in the stress of military service and you could have alot of instances of transgendered soldiers not only committing suicide but becoming active shooters on bases.
