Enforce the fricking laws already on the books joe. There are countless felons in cities where guns are banned anyway using guns to commit crimes.

you could also say guns are a check and balance against capitalistic greed

alright, sure; if they posed a threat to our ability to maintain a free state

also a good argument why gun confiscation puts you at an even further disadvantage to the powers that you fear

This has nothing to do with crime, or even mass shootings, they don’t care who kills who or how, they want the general public disarmed.

Yea I know. They hate people like me. Never been in trouble with the law, paid my own way through college, go to church on Sunday, want to have a gun to hunt and protect my family. Dont give a shite what anyone else is doing if it doesn't affect me and mine.. Everything that's wrong with the world today.

It's a Bill of Rights, not a Bill of Needs. Try again.

They were available and cheaper 3 years ago, so I purchased.

I don't need a soy boy or a politician telling me what I can't have as far as ammo.

Holding manufacturers liable for shootings is a truly terrifying precedent.

The linked tweet misstatements what Biden said. He is not calling for legislation that holds gun manufacturers liable. He is seeking to revoke the 2005 legislation that gives gun makers legal immunity. That may sound like a subtle distinction, but it just means they can be sued...it does not mean plaintiffs will win those suits.

After the tobacco industry litigation, cities and states were lining up to sue the gun industry. The 2005 gun maker immunity ended those lawsuits. But some recent Supreme Court rulings chipped away at the statutes anyway, and allowed some lawsuits like the one against Remington after Sandy Hook.

Biden is just looking to revoke the statute and let the gun makers take their chances with a jury. Sucks for them, but I'm not sure they should have protections no other industry has.

Aircraft manufacturers have that protection.

“The General Aviation Revitalization Act of 1994, also known by its initials GARA, is Public Law 103-298, an Act of Congress on Senate Bill S. 1458 (103rd Congress), amending the Federal Aviation Act of 1958.
It was intended to counteract the effects of prolonged product liability on general aviation aircraft manufacturers, by limiting the duration of their liability for the aircraft they produce.”

The manufacturers of single engine airplanes were decimated by lawsuits resulting from fatal accidents most of which were ruled pilot error. The expense of defending these lawsuits resulted in prohibitive premiums for product liability insurance causing some manufacturers to go out of business, and others like Cessna to quit producing certain models of planes.

The Biden administration hopes that similar liability exposure will force gun manufacturers out of business.

The people armed themselves prior to election.
Democrats just inciting violence. Have no real issues to help economy or foreign affairs. Just maintain division.
