POTUS says he is seriously looking at ending birthright citizenship

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that his administration was seriously looking at ending the right of citizenship for U.S.-born children of noncitizens and people who immigrated to the United States illegally.
“We’re looking at that very seriously, birthright citizenship, where you have a baby on our land, you walk over the border, have a baby - congratulations, the baby is now a U.S. citizen. ... It’s frankly ridiculous,” Trump told reporters outside the White House.
As a naturalized citizen of the US whose family waited its turn for legal entry into the country, I would fully support this. Let's re-interpret that 14th amendment for what it truly was meant to say.

Should have been done when Reagan granted amnesty to millions of illegals in the 80’s.... I would tag congressional term limits on this legislation and I don’t give a damn if it means amending the constitution.

I got my official 2020 Trump/RNC survey today for registered R’s, I should post the questions. I don’t believe birthright citizenship or congressional term limits were included in the survey.

How do you "re-interpret" this:
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.

Or start with not issuing a social security card unless a parent can prove citizenship. I don't know. Maybe that won't work.

I am afraid you are correct. The dems will never give in. Our only hope is that the Supreme Court will agree to hear the case, and rule that it was miss-interpenetrated.

No need. Just apply it as stated. Illegal aliens and their children are subject to the jurisdiction of the country they came from. Member Mexico saying they were going to take legal action because of their citizens who were killed in El Paso? I member.
