Board is conflicted on this one. On one hand, everyone hates all the bullshite excuses to deflect from personal responsibility. On the other, I suspect most posters here are fat themselves.

It kinda makes me want another Great Depression. When they're figuring out which part of the squirrel makes the best stew and splitting a can of beans over 15 people two whole families living together in a tiny apartment, moving from town to town because the sharecrop failed then it might hit them. Now THIS is poor. And we're all skinny!

This is 100% true, but everything still boils down to calories in versus calories out when it comes to being fat and obesity.
5000 calories of pizza and fast food will be you the same fat as 5000 calories of lettuce and broccoli. I get that your going to "fill up" faster eating the broccoli and stop sooner, but it still come down to self control when eating.
