If cursing in front of children could get you arrested, than every video I watch of culture on you tube would result in one.

Time to arrest them for loud, vulgar music, telephone conversations, and personal conversations that can be heard 1/4 mile away?

Just out of curiosity, do you guys actually say the n word privately or publicly?
Posted on 6/7/26 at 10:03 am to JohnLasater
I don't say it at all. How about you? Just inside your own residence?

I read the city ordinance, it’s pretty darn broad, and seems like it could have trouble if scrutinized by (legitimate) courts
Is this it:

Ordinance 12-2A4 makes it a misdemeanor to:
Cause, provoke, or engage in any fight, brawl, or riotous conduct that endangers the life, limb, health, or property of another person or the public.
If so, I definitely agree. You can skate by with ambiguous language, but if the enforcement is unconstitutional, then rubber will have to meet the road eventually.

City Ordinance on Disorderly Conduct
Hinesville’s city ordinance for disorderly conduct reads as follows:
It shall be unlawful for any person within the corporate limits of the City to engage in any conduct described in the following subsections:
To act in a violent or tumultuous manner toward another, whereby any person is placed in fear of safety for his life, limb or health;
To act in a violent or tumultuous manner toward another, whereby public property or property of any other person is placed in danger of being destroyed or damaged;
To interfere with, by acts of physical obstruction, violence or abusive conduct, the pursuit of a lawful occupation by another;
To cause, provoke or engage in any fight, brawl or riotous conduct so as to endanger the life, limb, health or property of another or public property;
To assemble or congregate with another or others for the purpose of causing, provoking or engaging in any fight or brawl;
To jostle or roughly crowd or push any person in any public place;
To collect in bodies or in crowds for unlawful purposes;
To assemble or congregate with another or others for the purpose of or with the intent to engage in illegal gaming;
To frequent any public place with the intent to obtain money from another by an illegal and fraudulent scheme, trick, artifice or device;
To assemble with another or others for the purpose of engaging in any fraudulent scheme, device or trick to obtain any valuable thing in any place or from any person in the City, or to aid or abet therein;
To use fighting words directed towards any person who becomes outraged and thus creates turmoil. Fighting words, as used in this subsection, means words that are of a common knowledge and under ordinary circumstances will, when used to or of another person in such other person’s presence, naturally tend to provoke violent resentment;
To assemble or congregate with another or others for the purpose of doing bodily harm to another;
To congregate with another or others in or on any public way so as to halt the flow of vehicular or pedestrian traffic and refuse to clear such public way when ordered to do so by a peace officer or other person having authority; or
To damage, befoul or disturb public property or the property of another so as to create a hazardous, unhealthy or physically offensive condition.

Seems like there's an amendment that addresses this
Posted on 6/7/26 at 10:15 am to prouddawg
Yea, it's not covered there.
Posted on 6/7/26 at 10:15 am to udtiger
Not only that it seems like the reason given by the police for arresting him isn’t covered under the ordinance. They probably use it for most anything that pisses them off and it never gets challenged because it’s just a citation and paid by fine.
DUE TO MR REDDISH’S ADMITTING THAT HE DID SAY “****”, THIS OCCURRED IN A PUBLIC PARK, WHICH WAS SURROUNDED BY MULTIPLE CHILDREN. MR REDDISH WAS ARRESTED FOR DISORDERLY CONDUCT (CITY ORDINANCE 12-2A4).

Bold strategy Cotton.
They might get him on disorderly conduct since he was clearly trying to pick a fight.

Cops are making it difficult to keep supporting them.

Not why they arrested him.

Since when did our police become so thin skinned? Sorry, you signed up for this job. You can’t arrest someone for saying “what are you going to do about it, bitch” bc it hurts your feelings.
Posted on 6/7/26 at 10:20 am to onmymedicalgrind
They have had very thin skin for a long time.
It’s unfortunate because 20 plus years ago, you had plenty of police that knew how to handle situations without arrest and just let everyone go home.
They can’t do that anymore

He left an opening with that.
On the other hand, if he had said, “good morning ni&&3r, can I buy you a cup of coffee?”, he would be in the clear.

Oh you can frick right off. Another holier than thou leftist here to police language.
I listen to rap music where every other word is the F word and the forbidden word. Should I quit helping make rap artists wealthy by consuming their product? Or am I a racist for noticing what is said?
