Because witnesses won’t satisfy the Dems. They will intentionally twist words and interpret things differently that normal people in order to stretch this out indefinitely

because its a scam, one witness will say blah blah blah, requiring another witness for shite the first witness brought up. once you open the door its not closing and they will be calling witnesses well into next year and even after the election.
the whole point is to prevent senators from being able to campaign so the dimms can take control of the senate
thats all this is about, taking control back because they know they cant beat trump but with control of both houses they can impeach him just for winning re-election and then they win by playing long ball

Right. This impeccably timed "book leak" is no different than the similarly impeccably timed "new allegations" against Brett Kavanaugh that flowed in like a river during his Senate confirmation before vanishing like dust under the slightest scrutiny once democrats were done with them.
