Probably 11 when you count the two pilots.

That account has been all over this incident since it happened. I saw earlier he posted that there was also a power outage at the airport at the same time that the plane fell out of the sky. Didn't bring that over for obvious reasons.

i don't speak pilot or plane...can you elaborate? the fl320-370 are altitudes, correct? seem to be common ones for commercial flight. so you mean if there's icing at that altitude, change your altitude asap? or that they should have seen the storm and avoided it ie "shouldn't be there in the first place"
thanks in advance
Yea. The air is really thin and really cold that high.So any ice is usually small gritty crystals that won't accumulate on the airframe. A bunch of liquid water means you're in a convective shaft. Not something you want to fly through.

She called someone Jack, not John. And I noticed a background voice say something like say the name, a name...

I am interested in the tapes between the jet and center concerning weather avoidance.

Overlay that with cross cockpit cvr communication

Guy got in a really bad situation.

Gussing that's 504kts GS? I'm not sure what ice accumulation does to a Lear60, but I reckon it increase the aerodynamic stall speed pretty rapidly. The question is did the mach overspeed start the break up or the attempt at recovering from the aerodynaimc stall? Probably won't ever konw for sure.

I thought I heard the cockpit recording say the air temp was -47 C at 35,000 feet.

Yeah, they asked for FL320 -> FL370. Probably should have asked for 180 vector instead, and GTFO. I'm a absolute chicken when it comes to ice at altitude. But it would have been tough to hit Mar-a-Lago with the wx deviation.

No idea what kind of airframe data collection that aircraft collects.

Hopefully it's all recoverable and usable.

That’s why when I was talking about icing and overspeed I said, “IMO”. I also do not believe she was talking about aircraft speed or forward air speed as they were going down, as they noted decent speed and rate of decent they were falling, not actual forward air speed which is a different reading. Engine RPMs is what was going crazy because once it stalled out from icing all the readings were likely going crazy and they had no power as the engine was at that point eating itself while going down. Also I said this is likely due to a bleed air valve Issue which if that fails, or not turned on, it doesn’t produce warm air to the wings as well as the engine which I said that likely caused the malfunction with the controls and airframe components when they tried to correct altitude when trying to ascend.

It's Part 135, so maybe CVR. I can't remember the criteria offhand.

why why did it have to be a woman driver? Shouldn't the pilot or co pilot know where the deice button is?

They could have flipped it on too late. Or it failed. I figured they had it active because they said they "were managing the ice".

Listening to the radio transmissions the pilot sounded nervous before she made the call of a problem. Sounds like she might’ve gotten disoriented if she were ifr and panicked. The aircraft looked and sounded supersonic to me.

Hopefully they find parts that departed the aircraft as well
