Mike Rogers (AL) going after Matt Gaetz (FL). Hudson (NC) manhandled him. I like the O Lawd expression of the black lady at the top.
After Eyepatch McCain, Mike Rogers has been one of the more threatening aholes of the week. Tucker Carlson blasted him a few days ago. Fortunately, they were able to restrain him and calm him down and he was able to return to watch McCarthy give his speech.
Matt Gaetz and Kevin McCarthy verbally sparring each other. That’s Comer (KY) sitting next to Gaetz, leaning in and talking to him. Comer and Gaetz talked a lot; Comer seemed the go between that could talk to Gaetz. Lauren Boebert (CO) sitting other side of Gaetz with Anna Luna (FL) above her. That’s Mary Miller (IN) in white on top right. McCarthy on far right.
Hakeem Jeffries introduces McCarthy but before doing so gives a vile, partisan speech where he refers to Republicans as racists and fascists (I’m not joking). McCarthy then goes up to take the gavel and hugs Jeffries. I don’t understand why McCarthy would want to hug that race baiting lying scumbag. And Jeffries wasn’t going to hug McCarthy...at all...McCarthy went in for the hug.

Jeffies is not all there. Something is wrong with him. I had never seen him in a public speaking setting, but he is cartoonish. He delivered his speech when handing over the gavel not so much like a preacher, which is probably what he was aiming for, but more like an excited special needs person. He speaks with his hands excessively and his hand motions are way over exaggerated. He bobs up and down and smiles with a maniacal look in his eyes. Dude is weird. I can only wonder how the Dems picked him, but then I remember that they picked Biden.

After that altercation they sat the pariah Santos next to Gaetz. It was an obvious tactic to associate Gaetz with Santos. In fact the media was tweeting about how the outcast were sitting together. The tweets are in the stickie thread. It was an obvious setup.
After being sworn in Santos went to shake Gaetz hand only to find his back as Gaetz was giving Lauren to his left a nice LONG hug. Gaetz knew he they were trying to set him up with a bad opiticsvideo or picture the media can spin.
I/we got to see this play out because the Cspan cameras were on Gaetz 90% of the time.
They failed to get him. They tried but failed.

Because despite what they say when a microphone is in their face these two guys have much, much more in common with each other than they do with any of their constituents. Same with every single other snake in that building.

Because he's a politically agnostic charlatan that will say, promise and/or tolerate anything (from the other party...not those within) to gain and hold power.
I can assure you he will be breaking whatever promises he made to the 20 within days.

If things get violent in the House we might borrow an idea from the Brits. If you've ever seen Parliament in action on Cspan you might notice two red lines near the middle of the floor.
Those lines are not supposed to be crossed by the two parties.
