The overwhelming majority never give it a thought as they struggle to pay a house note, or car payment, or for groceries. Many of them are working 2 jobs and certainly aren't thinking about it.

Reliving involves feelings/emotions. They absolutely want everyone to "feel about it" every day, because they control the feelings.
They do not want people to think about it, analyze it, ponder it, consider it, etc. Because facts, logic, rational thought all lead to the truth about the events that day.
