Probably sees how bad Schiff is doing and doesn't want Nadler anywhere near TV screens.

Trial in Senate exposes everything, the WB meeting with Schiff, the set-up, Joe Biden/Hunter, Hillary/Obama/DNC chalupa meddling in Ukraine (already have a court ruling about their interference in Ukraine for 2016) EVERYTHING is open: political censure and fall on your sword Nancy

Which makes me think that regardless of what the House does, this will still make it's way to the Senate. Even if the House doesn't vote, or the vote fails; the Senate (through Trump pushing) may still try to bring Schiff, the WB, and some of the other major players into the Senate under oath.

Oh, no doubt.

But she’s finally realizing that she willingly took a bite out of a huge shite sandwich here. And her options are either to swallow (impeach) or spit it out (censure) and hope nobody notices.

Censure the President because Republicans in the Senate are corrupt and will not conduct a fair trial.
yeah those corrupt unfair rules of evidence and due process. Why can't they be ethical like those Dems running the impeachment inquiry?

Is this guy fricking serious? A censure is nothing and means nothing.

A brutal censure.

Pelosi is being lit up by Reps and Senators in swing stages who are now increasingly worried that they will be forced to vote on impeachment which will spell the end of their political careers. Only problem is that she can't get off the slippery slope she started now and she is still going to lose House. The Senate Seats in Arizona, Colorado, and Maine are all highly likely to remain Republican after this debacle.

They will have all the headlines and soundbites needed to make some Campaign 2020 commercials for TV.

Well back in June
https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/06/pelosi-rules-out-trump-censure-as-alternative-to-impeachment.html

“No. I think censure is just a way out,” the California Democrat said at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast, when asked if she would support a censure resolution against Trump. “If you want to go, you have to go. In other words, if the goods are there, you must impeach.”

She, and other Dem leaders, are arrogant fricks.

They saw what happened with this when the republicans tried it, and the Republicans actually had some factual evidence. It still cost them the House.

to be clear, SHE didn't start this

she's been very public about NOT impeaching Trump for a few years. she was just out-flanked by Schiff and maybe Nadler, who are worried about AOC-level progressives primarying them in their crazy arse Californian districts

Given that the one thing DJT is truly guilty of is saying mean things that hurt the Dems' feelings, then equally-meaningless bad words right back should be fair.
