I am sympathetic to your childhood experience; my son was also sexually abused by a family friend of mine. The guilt on my behalf was unbearable...however, I don't believe they were born that way. This particular abuser was actually in treatment for previous offenses when he was abusing my son. He went to prison and began again as soon as he is released. I don't even think chemical castration works because the urge is still there for a sexual release. Physical violence is often the next step.

Who would chose to be a pedophile? Who would chose to be LGBTQ...XYZ? This has always been the argument from the prog/lib leftists. Now we have fringe groups that are even further away from normally accepted sexual behavior wanting inclusivity and now some alternative lifestyle people want to draw a line because it destroys their lifestyle validations. Doesn't work that way, either you're born with these tendencies and you make a choice to act on these tendencies or you're not.

Mark my words here and now, within the next 20-30 years you will see a serious push by the far left SJW fringe to decriminalize both bestiality and pedophilia.

I read a convincing article at some point of people that live with TONS of guilt over their desires regarding pedophiles. They know it's wrong. They know it's un-natural. And the one(s) in the article had never acted on their urges.
I think they will not be accepted because they are aware it is a defect, but just want to bring awareness to a real problem so they can help people like them NOT do something foolish. On the grounds that it is viewed as a defect from the womb, it can not be accepted by LGBTQ in my opinion... since theirs is natural/right/moral in their minds, and not a psychological issue.. then again, who knows? The liberal ilk really don't know which end is up anymore since they ALWAYS placate the next hip thing to defend as social justice warriors do. There is no center for their rationale... just whatever gets more votes.

In the 1950's if you told people two gay men wanted to adopt a baby you would have seen similar outrage.
There's no amount of morality you can't destroy in a single generation.
Thinking having sex with children is wrong will be labeled as "bigoted", "intolerant", and "backwards" etc. All the same tactics used to user in the LGBT agenda over the past generation.
