What makes this animal more of a disease risk?

Pull up a youtube video of the wuhan market

It's called a wet market where live animals are slaughtered there on the spot

I'll warn you it might be one of the most disgusting things you'll ever see. All of the animals are stacked vertically. You might have ducks shitting on top of cats that are scratching each other and getting blood on rats etc. There is nothing in the video that suggests there is any sort of hygienic controls in place. In fact it's so disgusting it looks like they're going out of their way to NOT be hygienic. Blood of snakes, rats, bats, all mixed together where they're butchering things...

If you have the stomach for it here you go

The Chinese have a culture of eating and medicating with some nasty shite as a result of living under communism for so long.

It predates Communism, these habits are probably ancient.

You’re probably right and a more accurate statement is these practices worsened under communism.

frick just last month before all this started my pangolin guy sold me 80 pounds of select cuts from out his rickshaw on the cheap- he requested I pay him in 200 rolls of Toilet Paper, the exact roll count I had in storage.
Anyone here ever use Pangolin scales to wipe?

The rest of the world needs to shun China and close their borders to any travelers coming from China to isolate them until they put a stop to these wet markets that are apparently a frequent source of dangerous and highly contagious viruses making the jump from animals to humans

I can't imagine anyone eating that crap. I guess if you are starving you would.

Those people looked quite well fed though.

China is an nasty place. I had a CT scan a few weeks ago and was called back in for an MRI because they found a large mass on my liver.

I fully expect to be diagnosed with Echinococcosis thanks to my travels in China.

I’m not your Chinese big city traveler, we frequently traveled the backroads of southwest China. We would hike into the villages of ethnic minorities and they would all invite us in to eat because we were the first white man they had ever seen. No telling what I’ve eaten in the last decade making those trips.

If you watch the vox video I posted they actually explain that a lot of these things are considered exotic foods for the wealthy

And apparently these wealthy people have a lot of pull with the Chinese government allowing this nonsense to persist

They believe these creatures give them special health benefits like sexual performance and fighting disease ironically enough

Scientists are saying they can trace genetic markers of the coronavirus that indicates it first came from bats and was transferred to pangolins that then crossed-over to humans.

Bats and pangolins were being eaten by humans in the Wuhan markets. Disgusting.

Bats are also eaten in Africa - it's where the world's medical science believes the Ebola virus came from. In Africa, bats and other wild game eaten are called "Bushmeat"......

I think so. Just read an article on National Geographic about the Chinese government promoting bear bile injections to treat coronavirus.

Stop with the wet market nonsense. Who told us it originated from there? The chinese govt, the same govt with a biolab eight miles from the place that has been shut down and dismantled after being caught dabbling with the same virus that we now have. It did not originate from a wet market, it may have gotten there, but it did not originate there.

The press is leading you down the same path as the russian hoax. Who said they hacked it, a consultant working for the hilliary campaign and for three years the world has been running with it, particularly since a handpicked group of people from a few agencies, not 17, and one of which was strozak, picked by Brennan, backed up the story. It was nonsense. And so is the wet market nonsense.
