The biggest problem with socialism/communism as an ideal is that it pretends that everyone is giving their best effort which is complete bullshite. It says things like "food is a human right" which is easy to agree with if you believe that everyone receiving food benefits are actually giving their best effort to society but still cant make ends meet. Again, bullshite. The problem we have is that so many people that believe in the ideas of socialism also believe in the bullshite of "you are enough" "you are perfect the way you are", etc which leads to apathy and laziness.

You think half the posters here would have voted for the second coming of Clinton/Gore? I certainly would not have.

I'm more than aware of it.

My friend calls him White Obama because of his dubious and weirdly lionized backstory.

South Florida is where they congregate. Cubans help balance it.

My early days of voting held the strategy of voting more democrat on the lower community levels and more republican the higher into federal levels.

If I’m going to be taxed, I want my tax dollars going and to be spent on the most local of levels and I want the highest levels of government to be the most hands off.

I just can’t do that anymore. Community level democrats used to actually care about the community and do some good things. Not anymore. Every one of them holds the line of liberal policies from the national level. I’m solidly republican every single election now.

Democrats gave up on the community.

The fact that you trust a company with that technology is concerning. Yes, they use it on criminals. What happens when they start using that technology for say.. not getting vaccinated as a violation of public health concern?

I remember Bubba Clinton running for presidents when I was a kid. Here in Arkansas that was a huge deal. Many of my friends and their families were big Democrats and none of them have shifted political philosophy but the party sure has.

It comes down to how the mind works. People who are liberal are constantly wanting something new so the party has to keep pushing the left farther and farther left to keep them interested. It gives the people something to stay engaged with and to get their feeling of superiority

No. You made that up in your head. I simply posted a popular meme that Elon Musk is fond of.
