In one of San Antonio’s most affluent northern suburbs - just a short drive from the U.S. Army’s Camp Bullis combat training base - a multi-million-dollar Islamic campus is under construction.

Northside Islamic Center of San Antonio (NICSA) is building a 33,000-square-foot mosque and community center on 7.25 acres.

This is not a simple neighborhood mosque.

Future plans include:

Residential housing (to generate revenue and increase attendance)
A full K–12 Islamic school
A self-contained Islamic community hub

They openly describe it as a sprawling campus where Muslims can live, pray, educate their children, and socialize largely within their own system.

The project is led by controversial Imam AbdulRahman Kattab, who publicly celebrated the October 7 Hamas massacre as a “day of remembrance” for Muslims, invoked anti-Jewish tropes, and prayed for Muslim victory over Jerusalem - statements that directly contradict the organization’s own constitution condemning terrorism.

Groundbreaking was in April 2024. The structure is already up. They’re still fundraising aggressively (including international appeals promising 700-fold rewards in Paradise) to finish it and avoid hundreds of thousands in back taxes.

This is a textbook example of the Muslim Brotherhood’s long-term strategy: build parallel societies inside America rather than integrate into it.

Mosques ? schools ? housing ? insulated Islamic enclaves — all while sitting near a major U.S. military training ground in one of Texas’s fastest-growing suburbs.

Texans deserve to know what’s being built in their backyard.
