Was $4.09 9/10 per gallon.

The highest price I paid before this morning was in 2007 just before the financial crisis. Paid a high of $3.99 9/10 per gallon then.
Inflation-adjusted, 2007 was a good bit higher.

I paid $3.99 / gallon on Wednesday.

Thursday morning on the way to work saw it was $4.09 at the same station.

Thursday evening on the way home, same station was $4.19. First time I had ever seen a price rise twice in one day.

Friday evening it already shot up to $4.39.

Dread to see what it is on Monday.

Just finished paying $591 dollar electric bill. Used to be in mid $200 range. Can the Dems. Be removed now?

I only pray that those who suffer the most are those that voted for this.

Is that supposed to make us feel better? I wanted heads on a platter back then as well. Literally.

We were paying a hair over 4 in south Louisiana back in 2007 or 2008. Somewhere around that time.

Right, and I able to avoid the $4 dollar gas at that time. Yesterday I couldn't avoid it.

You feel how you wanna feel - I'm just dealing in facts. Persistently quoting nominal data isn't particularly useful.

I'm seeing headlines like "San Diego goes above $5 / gallon for first time ever" etc but I paid over $6 / gallon there over a decade ago. It didn't last for very long but it did get that high.

Don't know why they would bother lying about it...if anything you would think they would say something like "this has happened before" to try to downplay it.

Supposedly west coast is now in an uproar about possibly hitting $7 / gallon. Will this finally wake them up to reality? Not going to hold my breath...
