I was leaning that way, but didn't understand the context if that indeed were the word.

Chattel slavery was truly bad

The slaves who were captured in Africa had it bad - but better in America than anywhere else.

But their children were the real 'victims' as far as American participation is concerned.

Thanks for the link... looks like the scarred man's master was black and won the right to turn his scarred indentured servant into a lifetime slave. Does this change anything for Relentless?

They never talk about the black slave owners in the South. Kind of an important piece to leave out, conveniently.

I've heard this from far leftists for many years. They used to be able to get away with it before the internet. Now, not so much.

It was always just a mechanism for white hate.

But, but, but what about their great-great-great-great-great grandchildren who are alive today, most driving a Dodge Charger? Some politicians are saying they should not have to pay taxes. Some even use the word "reparations".

Its being taught in our Schools.

Did ever try to have an educational discussion with a History Teacher?

I suggested to a History Teacher in the family, to assign his students, during "Black History month' to do a research paper on Black Slave Owners.
He looked shocked that I would suggest such.

He was unaware that Blacks owned their farms and were some of the biggest slave owners.

He definitely was not interested in learning.

Whites ended the global slave trade for the most part. Thanks whites!

Honestly, was there any other race with the power to do that at the time other than whites?

People act like whites in America just marched into the jungle and captured the slaves. Just look at sports today. Except in the rare instance, white atheletes can't keep up with black atheletes. No way whites rode a boat for months and then ran into the jungle catching slaves. They bought those slaves already captured from other black people.

The Black African slave owner owned the black African slave in the first place. How can a white man buy a black man from another black man without that black man's ownership?

You can't sell anything of which you do not own.

Who continues to enslave African blacks today? Yes. There is an active slave market still happening on the African continent. A friend of mine was a slave from 8 to 18.

A convenient truth blacks ignore. That would destroy their argument. Then they would have to look at their black ancestors who sold their arse into slavery for guess what. MONEY. It all boils down to money always has always will with people of no morality or integrity

How about just acknowledge the truth that blacks sold other blacks into slavery first. Then see that the black on black crime that they ignore is just like what happened all that time in the past and it is the single most horrific thing the black community faces. Constantly blaming everyone else has not worked and never will.

The same for the constant saying US is horrible when the reality was white Europeans and white Americans stopped the slave trade as much as they could.

Fun fact...

The Southern US was the only example in the history of the transatlantic slave period where the slave population INCREASED because of natural population growth after importation ended.
