Ossoff has a lead with younger and unmotivated voters (not my opinion - it's in the polls). Collins leads substantially among likely voters. Guess we'll see in November who turns out. I didn't vote for Collins in the primary, so he's not "my guy" but I can see beyond the astroturfing. Ossoff is widely seen as the most vulnerable D senate seat. That is why the money is being spent. It makes no sense otherwise.

It's because he's appeared on ballots in Georgia for almost 20 years. I don't know if he's accomplished anything for anyone (I left ATL in 08), but name recognition is king when it comes to low information voters, which is what most voters are.

The Georgia Senate race will be extremely close maybe the closest this round. This election will have a large impact on who controls the Senate.

With a half arse legitimate election would those numbers be different? I would bet a lot on it.

Ossoff is having to present what he is not by making it up. He is obviously having to spend more making it up because there is so much to make up.

Right, because the local election boards, the secretary of state, etc. are all of a sudden going to make things legit after seven years?
DeKalb wouldn't change at all. Raging liberal hellhole. Same with Clayton, Fulton will never change (Fani Willis anyone?) The fact that Cobb used to be the conservative bastion in the metro area and is +15D means it's lost too.

2016 is when I first saw him on the ballot. I believe he lost that election to Karen Handel. But he was still young then, and had not become an icon yet
