Initiative Petition 3 (formerly IP 13)

in its attempt to criminalize hunting, fishing, trapping, and raising/slaughtering livestock. However, IP3 actually goes further; adding new language that clearly defines artificial insemination and breeding practices as sexual assault and also drastically changing several other sections of the animal abuse statutes.

With the certification of the ballot language, the proponents of IP3 will be given permission to begin collecting signatures. They will have until July 8, 2024, approximately two years, to gather the 112, 020 signatures needed to qualify for the November 2024 ballot.

I'm fine with that. Can we put a wall around that state?

remember when LA put it the state constitution the right of residents to hunt and fish and libs complained that that's pointless to do and that nobody would ever try to stop people from hunting and fishing?

Outside of Salem and Portland, Oregon has some really good people.

Crazy how such a small geographic area can frick up an entire state.

That would be livestock. This is a vegan only law. Frankly, I would be okay with it if no one imported meat into the state and it would become a vegan haven.

Let's see how many vegans the Oregon agriculture industry can support... and without fossil fuels while we're at it.

(My guess is fewer than 250k - so what is Oregon's population?)

It's the coastal cities that are the problem, not the whole state. Let the state split.

Just wait until all hunting is halted and all those deer and elk start coming into their neiborhood eating the "ladies" garden flowers and veggies.

Hunting, now and since forever, has controlled the popluation of many animals, none more important that the deer population.

The most ecologically friendly and anti-cruelty policy would be to encourage hunting and fishing.

As bad as when the Dems filled their climate initiatives with pro-labor nonsense.

People cannot help but overreach. It's a beating.

there were a bunch of communes full of hippies in Oregon in the 70s, the children and grandchildren of these hippies live in the city now and are utterly incompatible with society.

This is why we need a greater emphasis on states' rights. Eventually there will be a federal push for stupid shite like this. I don't want to be legislated by east/west coast idiots and we shouldn't legislate their lives either.

I'm fine with that as long as they don't allow the sale of beef, chicken, portk, fish, shrimp, etc... in the state.

Let's see how dedicated you are to the cause.

A while back there was a petition for the eastern(rural) part of the state to become part of Idaho. I don't think Idaho was for it.

Well, honestly, that's another good focused law they could try to pass - encouraging edible insect fare.

My insect intake is limited to fried crickets at a Oaxacan restaurant in Dallas but dang, they were tasty.

And yet cutting off a young girls boobs or a young boys weiner is no issue for these people in Oregon.

Clown world no doubt.

Some smart coastal state needs to formally invite Mo's to move to that state.
Mo's started in Newport

We need to give them an alternative to staying there and becoming vegan.
