The founding fathers knew that side of the coin too. Look at big business right now and how they are pushing a massive change in the social norms. How they are buying politicians.

The answer to this is less government, not more. Big business doesn't give a shite about social issues. They're playing that game because big government makes them rich to do so.

quote:

So it's either the Federal Gov over reach into the lives of people or big business over reach into our lives (mandated DEI training.... re-education, shutting you out of banking if you disagree..etc). OR a limited Gov.

Dude, you've whined like a little bitch when I've suggested you're a big government type, and here you are posting that you're a big government type.

Oh shite I forgot, no sense of humor. My bad, dawg. Luckily you can learn some jokes and fashion yourself perhaps a serviceable sense of humor. As for intelligent genes…..bad news there. You’re either born with capable genes or you’re not. You missed out on that one.

More folks will silently vote for Trump than you think. Especially considering the lack of alternatives.

I mean, I consider myself well educated and I’m planning to pull the lever for Trump. Can’t say I felt that way 6 months ago. Or ever. Enough is enough.

No no no you missed his magical, "OR a limited Gov." at the end, that is supposed to negate all of his big government praise?

Gimme a rough breakdown of attorneys versus engineers (assuming the two most likely professions you encounter in your geographic circles) versus other professionals, on which you’re basing this “survey.”

Attorneys are, by and large, idiots politically, you know? I hope you aren’t hanging your hat on them here, right?

Many are legit fricking crazy too and convince themselves they can win any argument, no matter how logically flawed. Just read this thread .

I think only one of those is a lawyer.

Doctors, some computer/IT guys, accounting/business guys, some salesmen of various sorts.

There's also the professional poker player who is an ancap. He has a law degree and was formerly licensed, but never practiced.

Reactionism has been around since the 1800s. Try to keep up
quote:

In the 20th century, proponents of socialism and communism used the term reactionary polemically to label their enemies

quote:

Japan's right-wing nationalist and populist movements and related organizations, which emerged rapidly from the late 20th century, are considered "reactionary"

quote:

John Lukacs saw populism as the primary threat to modern civilization. By his own description, he considered himself a reactionary. He wrote that aristocratic elites have been replaced by democratic elites, which obtain power via an appeal to the masses

This is where we find the US today. The basis of our society have been replaced by the democratic masses, who incorporate any and all whims together to forge a political juggernaut of self-destruction.

Trump appeals to idiots who buy what he's selling, and that's it.
