Are you saying that they did not put in the Bill of Rights?
Jefferson had no part in this. He was not involved at all.
The hell you say!
“[A] bill of rights is what the people are entitled to against every government on earth, general or particular, and what no just government should refuse.”
– Thomas Jefferson, December 20, 1787

What did he contribute to/write in the Constitution?
And you're still ignoring this:
quote:
I'm still waiting on what was "placed in" the constitution, as you posted.

You are the one that should be defining that,
I already have.
But you're creating a moving target. So now it's your turn.
You are now resorting to lying.
You stated that Tariffs are leftists. I asked you when was the USA ever not a leftist nation then?
The truth is you can't name that time based on what YOU define as leftist policy.
There is no moving target, just a simple question that you can not answer because your own definition confuses your brain!

And I am asking for your definition of leftist to apply in the same manner.
So, it's your turn. Go ahead

Guys, let this thread die. He's at 200 + posts in 24 hours. At this pace he will have roughly my entire 20-year post history (I post a lot) in ONE year. If you keep at him, he has the kind of personality that is compelled to respond. He has a stroke or something, and everybody is going to feel like shite. Just tell him you are very impressed and assure him he has convinced you with his rare insight and impeccable reasoning, and let it be.
Let it go.
Let it go.

Contribute to and write are 2 very different defined things. I gave you clearly what Jefferson provided.

He debated that and advocated for it. Are you saying the BORs is not in the constitution?
He and Madison hashed all of that out in correspondences. And they were ratified in 1791.

Do you ever have trials beginning on Mondays that you must surely be getting ready for on Sundays? Doesn’t seem like it.

You know what? You are right. I'm out. Got things to do with the family.

I have nothing tomorrow but phone conferences.
I did have one busy day this week, but the clusterfrick of declaring July 5 a holiday took that off the calendar (this week, at least).
I do have court every day the next week, but most of the cases have already been worked out. Nothing close to a trial.

How many civil jury trials have you had that went at least through jury selection in, say, the past two years? I’m not frontin’ - legit curiosity abounds.

I haven't done any jury trial since 2016.
My mentor taught me that going to trial means I failed as an attorney, FWIW.

SFP at least does his homework and doesn’t bail on his own threads. His responses are well thought out and he takes a brutal beating on here and still responds. The other poster like SFP here is VOR, who does none of that, just writes condescending hot air that’s easily disprovable, and bails on the thread even if he gets 5 responses showing why he’s wrong. He has done that since back in the Hornets Report days, 20+ years ago.
I have to give SFP props for being better than that.

I can see the wisdom in that. But there’s also wisdom in the concept of making it known throughout the local and regional and beyond bars that when it comes time to roll, you ready, willing and capable/able to throw down at trial if necessary. There’s nothing worse than having a reputation as an attorney for being “allergic” to trial.

I created the term "drive by gotcha" for this about 15 years ago
