That report was prepared at least a week BEFORE the rally

That’s not what the story reported. At all.

I'm not sure you even understand the discussion here.

Insinuated in head line, that’s all it took to blame Trump.

I do. They are quick to bring up the Trump rally when reporting a spike (albeit not linking the two).

Here’s a June 1 CNN story reporting fears from the Minnesota and New York governors (and the NYC mayor) that protests would lead to a spike.

quote:

With large groups of people out in hoards close together during the protests, Minnesota Governor Walz said he expects a sharp increase in cases of Covid-19 in his state.

"I am deeply concerned about a super-spreader type of incident," Walz said. "We're going to see a spike in Covid-19. It's inevitable."

Minnesota has been "seeing an uptick in cases to begin with. Even before these protests started, we saw rising hospitalizations in that state," Gottlieb said.

Officials in New York shared the governor's worry about a potential for rise in coronavirus among protesters.

"I would still wish that everyone would realize that when people gather it's inherently dangerous in the context of this pandemic, and I'm going to keep urging people not to use that approach and if they do they focus on social distancing and wearing face coverings," New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said Saturday.

The title of the article links the rise in COVID cases to Trump's rally

Dumb and nonsensical....but it is technically true.

Exactly. The numbers in that city will e reported as if there were zero cases prior to the rally.

People in Houston keep pushing it. Right now it’s three weeks

They can get the results in minutes now with the rapid testing. Though like others have said, it usually takes at least a day or two for symptoms to show up or for the virus to even register on a test.

Try over a week.

Didn't say it wasn't. Now, exactly what value does including Trump's rally in the title add to the article if not to falsely tie the two together? Why keep mentioning it throughout the article?

The headline is technically correct - cases went up and trump had a rally. But the headline is clearly designed to causally link the two.

That it was stupid to hold the rally, and maybe that’s why only 6200 showed up? I addressed this earlier.

That is what you really believe? No effort whatsoever to link the two for the majority who only peruse headlines and don't read articles?
