What’s most funny about dipshits like this guy, is that we tried to warn them. We tried to explain rationally and calmly why 9 people governing outside their constitutional mandate and determining questions like abortion and marriage nationwide was dangerous. But they didn’t listen.

Now that they are facing the prospect of what it feels like to be subject to edicts you don’t agree with, issued by people who don’t share your worldview, well - people like this lack the emotional or intellectual maturity to see the error in his prior thinking, but instead, resort to saying “we just don’t like these guys. If we only had better guys, you know, guys like me, it would be fine to have a bunch of unelected judges deciding policy for the whole country.”

Very OT example - Rapinoe. "Oh you don't support the US?" I didn't really root against the USWNT, but if you take several steps back and say "what to those women think America is?" and contrast it with what it is/what I think it is, are we even fighting/playing/supporting the same thing?

I'd love to be a "big picture" guy and have a GWB view of America but it's just not reality. We're really polarized, and while I think social media and the like exaggerates our perception of how big the fringes are, I still think we're increasingly divided on really fundamental stuff.

It's pretty common to hear relatively mainstream leftists take shots at the founders and the Constitution out of left field, which is the type of deconstructionist shite we've been hearing from academics for a couple of decades. The NYT is trying to change the date of the country's founding, FFS. Do you think that's because the NYT wants to give black people a sense of importance and "home" in this country, or is it because they want to overhaul future generations' respect for founders/founding documents/founding ideals?

Yeah, this has clearly been a tactic by the left through academia to promote the notion that since this country was founded at a time where blacks and women weren't treated fairly that it nullifies everything the country was founded on, in using the constitution and it's principals.

I also found it odd that they complain about how Trump is killing democracy while they try to say that the constitution should be destroyed and re-written according to whatever flavor of the week contemporary social movement they support at the moment. And the way Twitter influences everything, those movements get more and more radical by the hour.
