Proving what I've said all along: whatever support Herschel has is soft. This recent scandal has Walker Republicans in full retreat; I wouldn't be surprised if many opt for the safe choice of a proven incumbent.

This strikes me as completely nonsensical in the current political climate. I can't fathom what any REPUBLICAN could possibly think as being "safe" about voting for a current lockstep democrat voting member of either the House or Senate.

Yeah, but quite honestly it doesn't matter at this point. Situations like this are where the Left absolutely runs rings around the Right. It doesn't matter how kooky their candidate is, they circle their wagons because a win is a win and they want majorities to steer the country. The Right does not grasp this concept one bit. We'll find reasons to cut off our nose to spite our face. Walker needs all of the support he can get from the republicans and it's his job to garner the votes of the unaffiliated to earn himself a victory that we have to have.
The same it true for Oz. We have to win seats. The last thing I want is for there to be another Scalia situation with the dems having a majority. We need the court in our favor.

This is what they do now. Polls aren't used to capture public opinion. They're used to try to form public opinion.
This is standard operating procedure. They drop a bad news story then they drop a poll right after showing the candidate down big.
Abortion story drops.. bad poll drops right after.
Polls don't move that fast. It takes time for public opinion to shift polls based on news.
This was crafted and released on purpose in tandem with the abortion story.

I'm not in Georgia but based solely on tribal voting patters, the race is closer than that.
The problem with Walker is that he is such a bad candidate that he won't pick up any independents or undecideds between now and the election. He likely couldn't explain what is being discussed in the Schoolhouse Rock video, "I'm Just a Bill."
