This war is wasteful spending so the logic doesn't really check out

So this guy Robert Gabriel Jr. last day at the White House was on May20, 2026.
Article doesn't mention Jack shite about why or situation around his leaving, of course. Not any mention of future planes either, just the usual he was a great fellow and performed great, Goodbye.
I don't recall the Camp David announcement leak date. Was it on or before the 20th?

That’s your opinion, it isn’t the opinion of others.
Those others should be in favor of executing the war, and finding a way to pay for it, rather than executing the war and just printing cash.
People still scream about “Obama sent Iran 4Billion!!!” while ignoring that we are printing 5.5 Billion every day

How is it wasteful spending? We pay the military to defend our interests. Might as well do so in a state of readiness

I never suggested that it was. If we go to war, we should pay for it.

This is said to have happened back in March. Now that internet access is being restored, videos are starting to be shared online by Iranians.

A drive-by shooting targeting a purported Basij member has surfaced in a newly circulating video from Iran.
As internet access slowly returns across parts of the country, the footage reportedly shows armed anti-regime militants opening fire on a man outside a supermarket before chasing him inside and fleeing the scene.
It is widely believed that armed grassroots anti-regime movements have begun forming inside Iran to confront the regime’s brutality.

So, all the panic stricken posters wanting to throw Trump under the bus wasted a lot of energy for nothing. When will they ever learn?
NEVER. They're like investors that will ride a stock down to ZERO before ever thinking to sell what value remains and investing in another stock heading the other way. To much pride to change course.

It was six days after, per this thread.

After 3 months of internet outage
I connected from inside Iran
And I have only one message for the world
Don't believe the lies of the Western Ayatollah-loving medias
The Islamic Republic is not winning the war and has suffered a heavy defeat
Militarily, we witnessed the destruction of IRGC centers in cities every day
Economically, prices in Iran have exploded and we can no longer even afford to buy chicken and eggs
The regime has been controlling the streets with armed terrorists for more than three months in order not to fall
They cut off the internet for three months so that you wouldn't hear these words
Even if you hate Donald Trump
You have to accept that the decisive winner of this war is America

The @USTreasury continues our Economic Fury campaign against the Iranian regime.
Their troops are not getting paid, the police are not reporting for work, and Kharg Island is shut down. The Iranian economy and currency are in free fall.
Iran’s Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA) is a joke, and today Treasury has sanctioned it. We have warned any corporate or state entities against paying tolls or hiding them as aid payments.
Forming a Wall of Steel, the U.S. Naval Blockade has ensured a record low amount of Iranian crude on the water. We will also be shutting down both Iranian airlines’ access to landing spots, refueling, and ticket sales.
Only a satisfactory outcome in negotiations will end the downward spiral.

IRGC says the Middle East will not see peace until Israel is destroyed.
So, what is the point of negotiating if that is their stance?

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent smacking them down.

?I understand the frustration of my dear compatriots with the ceasefire and negotiations
?But Trump and Netanyahu certainly realized certain things after 40 days of bombing the regime
?As long as the IRGC and Basij forces control Iran's streets with DShK machine guns and Kalashnikovs
?Bombing alone is just beating water in a mortar
?Even if an illusory agreement is reached and the flames of the current war are extinguished
?Arming the people of Iran and more precise and effective operations will replace widespread bombings on the agenda of America and Israel
?Our real work has just begun and we must prepare for face-to-face combat with the Islamic Republic
?The final blow will not be struck by America nor by Israel
?The final blow will be struck by us, the great nation of Iran

quote:Can you elaborate on this with dates and laws? I've been under the impression that the Wars Powers act clock was reset long ago. Currently sitting on 0 days as operation Epic Fury started on Feb. 28th and concluded on May 5th, 66 days.
It’s common knowledge why. Because the ceasefire resets the War Powers Act clock.
quote:
Key Provisions and Requirements The resolution mandates that the president notify Congress within 48 hours of deploying troops into hostilities or situations where imminent involvement is clearly indicated. It strictly limits military engagement to 60 days, with an additional 30-day withdrawal period, unless Congress provides specific statutory authorization or declares war.
Does this mean that 90 days from Feb. 28th, the WPA clock reset has occurred and new clock on May 29th? May 29th would be 91 days from Feb. 28th.
What are you talking about?
