If tweet fails to load, click here. From the article:
“The Islamic Republic of Iran sent today through Pakistani mediators its response to the latest text proposed by the United States to end the war,” the official IRNA news agency said, without offering details.
According to Iran’s proposal, the current phase of negotiations will focus exclusively on the cessation of hostilities in the region, a source familiar with the matter told IRNA.
Sources in both camps have told Reuters the latest peace efforts are aimed at a temporary memorandum of understanding to halt the war and allow traffic through the Strait of Hormuz while they discuss a fuller deal, which would have to address intractable disputes such as Iran’s nuclear program.

Seems like it should be a non-starter- if Iran isn't going to give in on their nuke program while we have the leverage of the blockade, they certainly aren't going to do it assuming we lift the blockade as part of a preliminary "deal."

Nothing in the latest response matters because even if some supposed “deal” is reached, as long as an IRGC member fires a rocket or threatens ships in the Strait, insurance companies will remain very hesitant to insure cargos and the oil market will remain constrained.

Time to celebrate the 250th birthday early with an intense fireworks display in Tehran.

Truman was at the Potsdam Conference on what to do with Europe when the war ended, Russians yelling and pounding the table. Truman is interrupted during the meeting and handed a message.
When they conclude for the day, Truman pulls the Russians aside and says "We know that you know we have been working on a nuclear bomb......the test was a success today".

Our response to the Iranian regime has already been crafted....the only questions are how it will be accepted/denied and when.
If we assert our strength then the WH believes there to be enough internal Iranian discontent to act
If we respond - as we have in the recent weeks, there is no belief the Iranian peoples are able to overthrow the regime

Fellas a little patience. IRGC and regular army are now facing pay "delays", supply shortages, etc. Many of the regular army are deserting in droves.
Every day we squeeze it gets a little more difficult for them to keep control.

While I would prefer a much more aggressive approach, as long as we keep the blockade up we are moving the ball down the field since Iran's economy is getting weaker by the day. But if we ever give in to Iran's efforts to make us lift the blockade without major nuclear concessions then it's all over. In that scenario, I could only hope that Israel would step in and take care of business alone.

Again huge waste of time negotiating they are trying to stall to midterms, we need to destroy the irgc or will have to go back. Just like we are there now dealing with this mess from Obama

According to the news, the response has not been verified as legitimate from the cardboard brigade.
Sure sounds like the same old response though.
I think there is a lot of information Trump and the US military has that we do not know about and has kept us in restraint.

The bombs should have never stopped falling until they gave in.
Iran should be currently in the dark, with all access points cut off, and a rhythmic thunder echoing day and night.
Thats all they understand in that part of the world.

Just like the criminal repeat offenders that have not seen strong enough consequences for their actions.
Lunatic animals only understand physical pain.

Regime change is the only thing that is worth more than BS on paper.
Arm the uprising.

What uprising? 30K+ civilians were killed the last time they tried that.
Trump and Netenyahoo told them to sit back and wait until we told them to try again. They're still waiting.
And the Kurds decided to become resellers instead of supporters.

This war will end with the IRGC still in place and gas still high. This shite’s a joke

Listened to a good podcast earlier today.
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History Addendum - episode 18 - Iranian Interconnections.
His guest was an Iranian historian who covered Iran's relationship with the west from 1720 until present day (it was recorded in January 2022).
Very enlightening / interesting if you have the time.
Takes about 90 minutes, but I speed up my podcast replays to 1.5x, so it took only an hour.

Iran has been playing games with the United States, and the rest of the World, for 47 years (DELAY, DELAY, DELAY!), and then finally hit "pay dirt" when Barack Hussein Obama became President. He was not only good to them, he was great, actually going to their side, jettisoning Israel, and all other Allies, and giving Iran a major and very powerful new lease on life. Hundreds of Billions of Dollars, and 1.7 Billion Dollars in green cash, flown into Tehran, was handed to them on a silver platter. Every Bank in D.C., Virginia, and Maryland was emptied out — It was so much money that when it arrived, the Iranian Thugs had no idea what to do with it. They had never seen money like this, and never will again. It was taken off the plane in suitcases and satchels, and the Iranians couldn't believe their luck. They finally found the greatest SUCKER of them all, in the form of a weak and stupid American President. He was a disaster as our "Leader," but not as bad as Sleepy Joe Biden! For 47 years the Iranians have been "tapping" us along, keeping us waiting, killing our people with their roadside bombs, destroying protests, and recently wiping out 42,000 innocent, unarmed protestors, and laughing at our now GREAT AGAIN Country. They will be laughing no longer! President DONALD J. TRUMP
