According to the Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. officials, Israel set up a secret outpost in Iraq’s western desert in the work up to the conflict with Iran and the U.S. was aware of the move. Additionally, per the report, early in the conflict an Iraqi shepherd discovered the installation and Israel used airstrikes to force back investigating Iraqi military forces, killing one Iraqi soldier. The installation was set up to support operations against Iran, including positioning for combat search and rescue (CSAR) if an Israeli pilot was downed during operations

Israel's position is that Western Iraq outpost is just the frontier of Greater Israel.

I really like this strategy of confiscating and/or blowing up the engine rooms of Iranian ships. Think how much Iran must have spent on a ship full of missile fuel, and we just take it under the ancient doctrine of "it's ours now." We seized a couple of their tankers full of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of oil and are sending them to the US where they will presumably be powering our cars.
And there's really not a whole lot Iran can do about it except get mad.

If we keep letting the Mullahs and the IRGC to drag things out, I fear this is exactly what is going to happen. I would not be surprised that is actually what those religious zealots want. That is, knowing their time is up, they are willing to burn everything down that they can and letting those wells shut down is a final "screw you" to the world on their way out.
At least that is how it appears to be playing out to me right now anyway. The Iranian people won't have shite to work with once we end the Islamic Republic.
I think the Mullahs are watching CNN, BBC, Bloomberg, Reuters, etc. and see people complaining about rising gas prices and airlines warning about shortages of aviation fuel and helium shortages and so forth and so on and they believe Trump will eventually go TACO. Every day without massive air strikes just reenforces that belief.
There just is no alternative-it;s time for bridges and power plant day.

Bahrain’s ministry of foreign affairs has released a statement warning against further Iranian interference within the country and against its other Gulf neighbors. Per the release, Iran has used various measures, including the employment of espionage cells with links to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps and Lebanese Hezbollah, to subvert Bahrain’s sovereignty.
Direct message to Iran in the statement:
His Excellency the Minister called on the Islamic Republic of Iran to comply fully with its obligations under international law and the resolutions of international legitimacy, and to completely cease its aggressive and provocative acts and sinful interventions against the Kingdom of Bahrain and the countries of the region, including the use of terrorist proxies and militias, targeting maritime navigation and threatening vital corridors, foremost of which is the Strait of Hormuz, as these illegal practices represent a direct threat to the security of international navigation, energy supply chains, food security, global trade, and their negative repercussions on the global economy and regional and international peace and security.
