In the long term, China will get paid well by Iran to build it back. Hopefully the US will get some work too with a more business minded Iran.

Iran's assets are frozen. If the people of Iran know that chyna helped facilitate what's been going on for decades...do you think they will allow them back in their country to "help"?

Long term.
That oil isn't going anywhere and China is next door with tons of construction capability. The next regime will gladly accept any help to get their oil markets back up ASAP.

That oil is going to go wherever we want it to go. If we want them to have it, they have it. If we dont want them to have (like right now) then they cant have it.

BTW, rumors are circulating saying that the IRGC hardliners are not happy with Pakistan's role as a mediator and are likely to make a play to push for a different mediator. IRGC hardliners view Pakistan with a lot of distrust (which is nothing new) and they see Pakistan as too close to the Trump administration.

UPDATE: Quick update on where we are this morning. Iran just closed Hormuz again. IRGC statement says the strait is back under "strict armed forces management" as long as the US blockade on Iranian ports stays up.
Within hours, two IRGC fast boats opened fire on the Sanmar Herald, an Indian-flagged VLCC carrying 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude about 20 miles northeast of Oman. A second container ship also took rocket damage nearby. No casualties. 8 tankers made it through, about the same number turned back after the incidents. CENTCOM released footage of Apaches patrolling the strait.
On the diplomatic side, Iran's deputy foreign minister just said no date has been set for new direct talks and explicitly denied Trump's uranium claim. "Non-negotiable." Ceasefire expires Wednesday. Trump last night said he might not renew it and "unfortunately we'll have to start bombing again."
So the picture 72 hours from the deadline: Hormuz closed again, ships being shot at, no talks scheduled, and both sides publicly contradicting each other on the core issue.
Not where you want to be three days before a ceasefire expires.

We have at least 3 different Iranian attacks on commercial shipping in the Persian Gulf so far today:
- India-flagged oil tanker fired upon without warning by 2 IRGC gunboats this morning
- Container ship reporting an impact from a suspected UAV, little/no damage caused
- Cruise ship reporting a projectile landing in water close to it a short while ago, sounds like a missile rather than a UAV
All 3 incidents taking place within 25nm of the coast of Oman per @UK_MTO
