Ceasefire broken? #FreeIran?
--- Operation EPIC FURY ---

We have at least 3 different Iranian attacks on commercial shipping in the Persian Gulf so far today:
- India-flagged oil tanker fired upon without warning by 2 IRGC gunboats this morning
- Container ship reporting an impact from a suspected UAV, little/no damage caused
- Cruise ship reporting a projectile landing in water close to it a short while ago, sounds like a missile rather than a UAV

All 3 incidents taking place within 25nm of the coast of Oman per @UK_MTO

A terrorist cell that violated the ceasefire agreements in southern Lebanon and approached IDF forces in a threatening manner was ELIMINATED from the air.

In another incident, the IDF attacked terrorists as they entered an underground shaft in the area.

India is furious with Iran after IRGC gunboats fired on the Indian-flagged oil tanker The Sanmar Harald today as it was passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

The ship was trying to transport Iraqi oil to India.

India has summoned the Iranian Ambassador to protest

LEBANON’S PRESIDENT JOSEPH AOUN ADDRESSES THE NATION:

“We endured a great deal… but we did not back down and it became clear we were right.”

He thanked Donald Trump and regional partners, especially Saudi Arabia, for helping secure the ceasefire.

Aoun declared Lebanon is entering a new phase toward “permanent agreements,” stressing:
“Negotiations are not weakness or concessions.”

“For the first time in nearly half a century, we have reclaimed Lebanon’s decision-making… We are no longer a tool or battleground for others.”

He vowed no deal will compromise Lebanon’s “rights, principles, or sovereignty,” and said the goal is clear: “to save Lebanon and its people.”

Seeing the large uptick in USAF activity surging into the area today, I say the decision has been made already. Trump will probably hold off until Wednesday and then we will probably see targeted strikes begin again.

French President Emmanuel Macron:

A French soldier from the UNIFIL force was killed and three others were wounded this morning in southern Lebanon.

All indications point to Hezbollah being responsible.

We call on the Lebanese authorities to immediately arrest those responsible.

Difference between the USA and France:

French ask Lebanon to arrest those responsible. The USA would have the intelligence on where it originated from and strike that area and reduce it to a parking lot and kill the SOB's within a few days.

asking the Lebanese to arrest them. Its like pathetic and tone deaf ignorance all wrapped up in one.

Im sure the Lebanese would love to.

Amen. The French catch a lot of shite for white flag raising and teasing, etc.. Their military is quite bad arse when the French leaders allow it to be so. However, leadership like Macron only enforces the stereotype across the world stage.

The French Military absolutely has the ability to go into Lebanon and take out those who are responsible.Unfortunately for their military, their political leadership lacks the guts to make that kind of call.

Who knew

Start bombing the oil storage tanks and force them to shut down the oil wells.

Don't have to bomb the storage tanks. They'll soon be at full capacity if not already They may have to start shutting wells down real soon.
Stored oil value should go to the Iranian people when this is over.

BREAKING: The IRGC Navy is publicly calling Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi an "idiot" on international maritime Channel 16, broadcasting that the Strait of Hormuz "is still closed" and "we will open it by the order of our leader Imam Khamenei, not by the tweets of some idiot."

He added "All vessels that have a connection with our enemies will be targeted if they try to pass."

Your Saturday "More You Know" moment where you can impress your neighbor Kyle as he bitches about gas prices.

I bet Kyle didnt know that Americans discovered and developed the resources in the Middle East.

The massive Gulf fields that dominate today? Largely unlocked by U.S. companies in the 1930s.

Kyle probably doesn't know that just like we did in Venezuela, western companies brought the drilling tech and capital that launched those industries.

In 1908 the first big commercial strike in Persia (Iran) at Masjed Soleyman. British-led Anglo-Persian Oil Co (later BP) sparked the race.

So a tip of the hat to the Brits - back when they had grit.

But the real transformation of the Arabian side? That came from Americans.

1932: Bahrain. First oil discovered on the Arab side of the Gulf — by Standard Oil of California (Socal, now Chevron). Bahrain Petroleum Co (BAPCO) strikes it at Jebel Dukhan, where Americans prove the region’s potential.

1933–1938: Saudi Arabia. King Abdulaziz grants concession to Socal. American geologists and drillers risk it all in the desert. On March 3, 1938: Dammam No. 7 gushes commercial oil.

This was the birth of Saudi oil — now the world’s largest reserves. Pure American smarts and perseverance.

1938: Kuwait. Burgan field (one of the biggest ever) discovered by Kuwait Oil Co which was a 50/50 American Gulf Oil and the British. U.S. tech and expertise were key.

Kyle probably doesn't know that Americans were in on the ground floor across the Peninsula. They brought the capital, engineers, rigs, and know-how when others couldn't.

They built Aramco (originally California Arabian Standard Oil), pipelines, refineries.

While Britain got the first strike in Iran, Americans discovered and developed the oil across Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and parts of Kuwait — the heart of Middle East energy.

Oh and Libya. But that is another post.

And that is your short history lesson for the day.

Tell Kyle. He will be impressed.
