The scathing attack on the foreign minister on state TV shows deep-seated division inside the Islamic Republic.
Here, “filmmaker” Hossein Pak relentlessly attacks Abbas Araghchi on state TV, arguing that the diplomatic team must represent not just Iran, but the entire “Axis of Resistance,” from Lebanon to Yemen.
He says they have ten clear demands in negotiations with Trump and the United States that are non-negotiable, and accuses the team of lacking confidence and failing to stand their ground.
In a separate segment, he claims Araghchi is acting independently and that his views do not align with the regime’s core principles and policies, dismissing them as personal opinions.
He suggests this reflects a parallel agenda that is not aligned with the Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.
He also labels him a “JCPOA diplomat” and criticizes him as part of a failed group with the same weak mindset that previously put the regime in a difficult position.

A message attributed to Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said on Saturday that the country’s navy was ready to inflict “new bitter defeats” on Iran’s enemies.
The statement was posted on a Telegram channel and appeared to mark Army Day.
“Iran’s navy is ready to inflict new bitter defeats on enemies,” the message read.

So they are admitting that they have invaded sovereign nations.

Iran said on Saturday that the Strait of Hormuz had returned to tight military control and would remain under strict oversight unless the United States ensured full freedom of navigation for vessels traveling to and from Iran.
Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya joint military command said Iran had restored the strait to its previous status, with the strategic waterway now under strict management and control by the armed forces.
“So long as the United States does not ensure full freedom of navigation for vessels traveling from Iran to destinations and from destinations to Iran, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will remain under strict control and in its previous state,” the statement said.

It's time we start blasting away again.

So we get told the strait is open and a deal is going to be made in a day or two. The next day Iran closes the strait, fires on two ships trying to pass through it, and says there will be no new talks. At what point do we realize they are just stringing us along again?

Yep. In doing so they just gave those other nations a good excuse to begin expelling Iranian influenced groups. Lebanon is trying to do so now.

Two things are glaringly obvious: Iran is completely fractured internally which also means making a deal with one entity likely isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.

We realized it before the talks began. We did not have a cease fire so that we could get a deal. We had a cease fire to rest and reload. We had a cease fire to talk to many of their people to find out which ones we could turn.
The talks are for the public. They have nothing to do with coming to an agreement that will end the war.

No. That’s not at all implied by that statement. Supporting resistance fighters/terrorists in other countries is not tantamount to invading them, otherwise the US invaded Honduras, Cuba, Cambodia, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Angola, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and a dozen other countries over the last 50 years.

Supporting and sending soldiers and terrorists to other countries is invading them, pencil dick.

Trump knows this. That’s why the blockade remained in place.

The issue is that the IRGC is in control and fragmented, so different parts of the power structure want to deal and different parts want continued war as in line with their religious eschatological beliefs.
That no doubt is all part of the plan, but it still leaves the diehard Islamic jihadists in control of the ground within Iran faced only by the unarmed uprising. I hope this is just a case of secrecy as the campaign evolves.

Thinking we don’t need to at the moment.
The Air Force is gone. Their navy’s is gone. Their rocket stocks at low.
Right now the financial squeeze is the most punishment we can inflict. They have to pay government services (including military). Without exports they have no cash to pay and without imports they can feed their masses. The kettle pot pressure internally is rising……
We can sit back and block their money sources.

And Trump posts that negotiations are going well and the straight is open. That pits the IRGC against the politicians. There might not even be negotiations happening but with the posts it causes different factions to doubt each others resolve.
I also think the ceasefire was to give us time to rest and resupply. And more importantly use satellites and drones to watch people and places in Iran. To build a new list of places to bomb.

How and with what did Iran attack the two ships?
Posted on 4/18/26 at 8:18 am to RetiredSaintsLsuFan
Likely small gun boats

The portion of "the resistance" that wants Iran to die for "the cause", is clearly out of their minds. The rest of Iran will have to kill them because Trump is not going to release the pressure campaign.
This has been proven and there is still a hard deadline until the Iranian oil wells are lost for a decade.
The rational people that are still left in Iran want those future monies...
