Again, there are legal standards that define what a war is. And this isn't it. There isn't any indication from asset movements or official declarations from the US that the US intends to do anything but put some firepower up the Mullahs asses and then leave it up to the Iranian people to reclaim their country.

War: a hostile conflict conducted by armed forces between nations, states, rulers, or parties within the same nation. A formal "state of war" can also exist without active armed conflict.
