That along with the island pumping station is where I think we may see troops on the ground. Sites like that.

Securement operations.

Yeah it would have to be.

For something with that high of a risk you’d need eyes on confirmation

The weird thing about the naval component of going to war with Iran is that despite the US being the largest Navy in the world by almost any meaningful measure...we actually just don't have enough vessel and manpower to keep the gulf trade routes open.

Aircraft carriers aren't what we need right now, what we need to absolutely cover the strait with destroyers and minesweepers so Iran can't have a commando go skinny dipping without a boat on their arse before they come back up for air.

I think our doctrine of "aircraft carrier group maxxing" doesn't really fit what a modern war with cheap and plentiful drones ends up degrading down to after the initial shock and awe.

They don’t, but with “friends” like the UK giving away our bases, they are still needed for power projection

I also think they are highly reliant on their cyber warefare and/or media control to flood the world with propaganda and trolls

Seriously, this is such an internet comment. It sounds like you said that with such confidence and assurance.

As of today, iran has almost entirely exhausted its drone supply through either attrition or destruction from the US/israel.

This is such an internet comment. Saying things about the stock of a combatant with such confidence and assurance.

Now if only Iran would stop sending those suicide drones, costing them between 20 and 50 thousand each, that the U.S. has to shoot down with missiles costing about $4 million each.

Which side is going to run out first?

I believe 450k is Israel's entire reserve contingent and would be the largest mobilization in the history of Israel.

Things are going that well.

Don’t worry we got folks on here Baghdad Bobing it. Iran is out of stock. They’re done. That’s why our president is, dare I say, begging our allies to help us out. Iran is just that finished.

He’s trying to make them pull their fricking weight. Stop being such a woman. That country yall love to shite on Israel, who I have some issues with too especially domestic interference, has shown they’re a far better and more reliable and deadly military ally than anyone in NATO.

If they can’t come clear the way for their own energy why should we be in much hurry? Oil is only at 100$ a barrel no one else seems to be upset

Why the frick do they need to pull any weight in an endeavor Israel and the US started that they no doubt would have advised against?

Americans need to stop acting like we’re the center of the universe and every other entity on the planet is some NPC in our narrative. We’d probably start having better foreign policy if we actually understand that the world is full of competing interests instead of some grand narrative we’re writing and everyone else is along for the ride.

Just wow at how many sites have been hit and how much they actually had built up over the years.

My mind is blown how many sites the regime had. How many damn head quarters and command centers could they possible have? We’re hitting new ones every day. They have definitely spent every dime and every minute they have building quite the network and infrastructure. I underestimated the amount of people and infrastructure they had for sure. I think I saw recently Israel said they have another thousand + ? targets left to hit. Wow.
