How is Iran blocking the Strait with these tiny boats? Shouldn't drones and helicopters destroy these boats with ease?

Anything on the coast, can be knocked out with strikes. Could it not?

They have generated enough fear that the owners and insurance companies don't want to risk running the strait.

Tomorrow will be interesting and the USN will probably divest the IRGC of any notions that they have of interfering with maritime traffic.

Did you read the reports that Netanyahu told Trump the Iranian population would rise up and overthrow the Iranian regime within one week after USA and Israel attacked Iran?

No, I heard him tell the Iranian people there will be a time they will need to rise up and take their country back. Can you link where he said what you claim? I would be interested in reading that.

One boat can drop one mine at night.

One mine blowing up one tanker is all it takes.

The new Hormuz Strait initiative will not necessarily include U.S. Navy ships escorting commercial ships, according to two U.S. officials
One of the officials said U.S. Navy ships will be "in the vicinity" in case they need to prevent Iran's military from attacking commercial ships moving through the strait

The officials said the U.S. navy is going to provide commercial ships with information on the best maritime lanes in the strait especially when it comes to using lanes that were not mined by the Iranian military

The Houthi's may find the IDF flying in on them from their backyard. Israel may possibly sortie out of Somaliland airstrips in the future.

With the Ugandans taking Tehran, and Somalilanders taking care of the Houthis, we can't lose.

A couple of weeks ago the Ugandan Military Chief was threatening Turkey if they did not give him their most beautiful woman for marriage.

This conflict brought trolling Ugandans into the spotlight.

Iranian state media said three men accused of involvement in unrest in Mashhad and an alleged Israel-linked plot were executed early morning Monday local time.

The report identified the men as Mehdi Rasouli and Mohammadreza Miri, who were described as “Mossad elements” involved in what authorities called a “coup” in January 2026, and Ebrahim Dolatabadi, described as a key figure in unrest in the Tabarsi area.

State media said Rasouli and Miri had a “direct role” in the killing of a member of Iran’s security forces during the events, while Dolatabadi was accused of leading groups involved in clashes that resulted in further deaths.

Rights groups say Iran has executed at least 25 political prisoners since the beginning of US-Israeli strikes on Feb. 28.

Must have been a slow night for news. Nothing new posted since before 11 pm last night.

I woke up an hour ago. I just saw that CNBC and Al Jazeera are reporting that Iran is claiming to have fired upon some US Navy ships and that they have been "turned back" from entering the strait.

This is from CNBC:

quote:

All the major averages came well off their lows after conflicting reports of an Iranian attack on a U.S. warship and as Iranian media was reporting that a ship was turned back from the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Navy said it blocked “American-Zionist” warships from entering the zone, according to state TV reports cited by Reuters.

A separate dispatch from the Fars new agency said two misses hit a U.S. warship near Jask island after it ignored warnings, though neither report was independently confirmed.

U.S. Central Command later wrote in a post on X that “no U.S. Navy ships have been struck.”
