There is no agreement with the Islamic Republic that is worth the paper it is written on or the bandwidth needed to send it.
Regime change is the only thing that will actually work.
Taking Kharg Island or the islands up at the top of the Strait would give the IRGC a major loss of face. Holding it until there is regime change would have an effect.

Are there any Trump supporters that are happy with this "progress"? We were the bad guys in this thread 1-2 months ago, now it appears everyone is pissed at Mr. President.
His messaging has been absolutely atrocious.
I'm not happy or unhappy. I agree with the premise that this is a war with global implications and, more importantly, is a matter of US national security. It's a war that the US has dominated so far, including the blockade. "Epic Fury" has further damaged Iran's nuclear ambition and their ability to project power. If the administration decides it needs to be a war of gradual attrition at present, why should I second guess that decision? I definitely have no expectation that I will be informed about the rationale for that decision, or otherwise given advance notice of future plans, via "messaging" or any other form of communication.
The fact that some people, like you, are impatient, or have their own ideas about how our goals should be accomplished, has no impact on my opinion. Many of them have as little information as I have, and they should also have no expectation of being informed about future plans. Many others never have and never will support anything Trump does, which means their rhetoric has no correlation to the success or failure of anything that Trump does.

and don't forget,

that is the breaking point, cave in and agree,

I'm giving it about 5 hours before there's a tweet about launching strikes and taking Kharg Island again. Then another 4 hours after that their will be a tweet cancelling the strikes and saying a deal is close.
He will wait until after the market close, then retract his statement early on Monday morning.

He's just now figuring that out?

Trump has looked weaker than Carter these past two months. From "Epic Fury" to "Epic P***y". Iran is running rings around us in these "negotiations." Should have kept bombing them every day until there was a signed deal, or more realistically, until enough IRGC had been wiped out that moderates could have the upper hand in Iran. We are objectively worse off than before this war started and Trump has wasted an enormous amount of political capital.

2nd Trump term has been a joke. 1+ billion dollars PER DAY for this war.
They are wasting $50 million + of taxpayer money on changing the DoD's name to Department of War. Not what I voted for at all. fricking frauds.

I don't think I've ever seen so many crying little bitches in one place. Looks like a FB group.

Trump has been using his statements to affect the price of oil and gas. Some people aren't intellgent enough to realize that. Trump doesn't trust Iran. He knows they will not a bide by any agreement. He knows that some time in the near furure he will have to blast them to hell. Most people want him to finish Iran off now, However, he has his reasons.

Amid ongoing intense mediation efforts by Pakistan, we are fully aware of incessant misinformation campaign being waged by those who want to sabotage the peace deal. Setting aside the noise, we can confirm that a final, agreed upon text of the peace deal has been reached and Pakistan is now working closely with both sides to finalize the next steps. Peace has never been this close as it is now.

That’s why the win scenario is so troubling. You’ve gotta shake the whole etch-a-sketch and start over.

So many whining bout the cost of this, but were perfectly fine with trans body mutilations and all the other wastes. This needed to happen. Iran was getting pretty powerful (Dominating that area) and imagine how much stronger they would be left unfettered. Also, there would never be a good time for this so hopefully this crap ends up well so our children and grandchildren don't have to deal with it.

It's not going to end well. We are capitulating and things will go back to the way they were before. All the taxpayer dollars spent on this war with nothing to show for it.

CNBC reporting a "Senior Administration official is 80-85% confident U.S. will sign agreement with Iran. Even though we are confident, we are not quite at the finish line yet."
