What if a similar mission is going on in Iran right now? What if all this stalling and delaying is for a reason?

I have no proof this is the case with Iran, and obviously the situation is much more complicated than Venezuela, but it would match Trump’s MO to secure the uranium in secret.

Food for thought.

This whole situation is bizarre. Next, Trump will post something like "we're making great progress in our talks with Iran and a deal is close"

If that's the criteria for waging war, we're gonna need a lot of dead Americans to get anything done. It would probably require bombs falling on US cities for this particular Congress to acknowledge that our national security was at risk, and only then if they or theirs were personally harmed. There are more than a few who will never support use of the US military, unless it's to eliminate their personal domestic or foreign opponents.

Congress hasn't declared war in 80 years.

Not a fighter jet apparently. No idea why power would be off in parts of Tehran right now other than normal reasons. Perhaps Cleco runs their shite?

For decades I have known this. Dad was almost transferred by DuPont from Sabine River Works to Pontchartrain Works when the later was being built. It's upriver from LaPlace instead of Downriver like Norco.

I got the contract for my former employer to take down the Cat Cracker at Norco after it exploded. Bechtel had owed us a favor after a project manager screwed us over on a project and directly recommended us to Shell as a favor. The other bidder gave a two page proposal. Shell wanted T&M and full control. We gave them what they wanted with a detailed proposal. They allowed us to make what ended up with a hefty profit but we had to hire a train a lot of labor from the immediate area.
