Are you saying that an Ethernet port is not a com port?

A comport is a serial port. She also stated she didn't know what a comport is exactly.
Google a com port

Correct. Google cat5e and it's pretty easy to see they don't plug into each other

They need to televise Lindell’s tech guys and the fact check tech guys on the stage together for a back and forth

I had posted this several months ago on here. It’s the RFP, evaluation, and award documents posted by the GA SOS Office for Dominion’s contract with Georgia. Maybe some of you IT savvy folks can take a look and compare how it ties into what is being presented for comparison purposes.

That would be amazing.

Yea the webserver system in use on a dominion machine utilizes software from 97. EOL due diligence evidence stacked, Dominion fukkkkkkked.

It would most likely devolve into an argument about Star Trek vs Star Wars. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

No. Serial port is a type of com port.
14 types (there are more) of Com Ports
Ethernet or Network Port or RJ45 Port
quote:
This is a type of computer port used to connect the network cable to a computer. Cable plugged into this port can lead either to a network hub, cable modem, DSL modem or to an Internet gateway.
Communication Ports is a broad, but correct term that is not "just a serial port"
Since you prefer a google search Google search for you

they admittedly didn't know what that code is. but i can tell you there is plenty of production and secure code still floating around from back then.
you do different things to secure it vs modern systems and architecture.
i've spent more time than i want to even discuss migrating off AS400 systems in the 2010s still somehow...i mean how the frick was that thing still running(i know they're tanks and run forever).

lol yea, using something this old regardless of if the machine is air gapped or not is a big no no.
Dominion looks like a bunch of amateurs. And remote maintenance entries are present from the day of the election.

Part of the problem is use of the term "comport". Most of us either say "port" or specify the type ("serial port", for example). I've been doing this for a couple of decades now and I can't remember anyone ever using the term "comport".
Maybe it's a yankee thing? Like "pop"?
Posted on 8/11/21 at 12:22 pm to GhostOfFreedom
They need to check first to see if there is a webpage that the Dominion employee was accessing, and then scan the machine for any iis code that might be getting called from an app on the machine, and also check for old vbx and ocx controls that could be getting used.
This is insane.
This is insane.

Did a web guy in the crowd find something? Interesting...
