While I certainly recognize the right of the failing and racist New York Times to hire anyone they want, this does set them up for a crisis in coverage, should they be required to cover the firing (or potential firing) of someone for racism or inappropriate social media posts.

I'd like to see them show evidence of this.

Someone please forward this story to Tucker

Her comments continued for over 2 years.

It's amazing to me the lack of awareness of the NYT. Sulzberger Jr. was just in Trump's office like two weeks ago pleading with him to stop criticizing the press.

@NYT, "Have you had candid conversations with David Duke?"
Posted on 8/2/18 at 12:05 pm to Scruffy
I'm serious, Trump needs to start calling them the "racist New York Times". It would force them to keep doubling down on thier faulty, hypocritical stance.

Substituted black for white and copied her tweets; I wonder if twitter would classify these as hate speech and what the outcry would be.
"Dumbass fricking black people marking up the internet with their opinions like dogs pissing on fire hydrants"
"Are black people genetically predisposed to burn faster in the sun, thus logically being only fit to live underground like groveling goblins"
"oh man it's kind of sick how much joy I get out of being cruel to old black men"
"I dare you to get on Wikipedia and play "things black people can definitely take credit for." it's really hard."
"CancelBlackPeople"

She reacted like a child. For someone that is supposedly so great with the internet youd think she'd know the difference between anonymous trolls and real legitimate harrassment. Anonymous trolls have been on the internet since it began.

This is such bullshite...if Sarah was white she would be fired on the spot and the NYT would be putting out releases on how they don't condone such behavior...typical liberal double standard...

This is weirdly worded.
So harassing young Asian women online is like a "thing"?
I didn't get the memo.
Exactly this.
If only companies would defend ALL their employees like this...
But there seems to be a difference in the way race plays into a person getting fired or not.

The bottom line is this. If Fox hired someone with similar posts but was a white male, no amount of progslaining (trademark by RG) would satisfy the leftists and demands for his firing would never end. CNN would run with it for days.
The hypocrisy to me is more important than their actual racism.
I like it when they admit who they are.

Rush all over this right now.

What’s really amusing here is that I’m sure they ‘acted’ angry and indignant when confronting Sarah about these tweets knowing full well they had no intention of firing her.

Two of these tweets predate the two tweets you posted a picture of. She's going to have to go further back in time to use that excuse.

Not only that, but many of her tweets were far after those as well.
They don’t seem to be responses to other tweets.

I'm gobsmacked by the sheer gall of saying outright that it's ok to be racist as long as you claim someone else did it first.
What the frick.
What the frick.

I expect Tucker to be all over this tonight.

The MSM continues to prove what an absolute joke they are with their double standards.
So if someones goes on a racist tirade against black people and maybe even throws the n-word in there, they can just say "Yeah well, I was called a honky and a cracka on twitter so I'm not in the wrong here"
Is that how this works?
