This.

I would love a third party with the ability to challenge the other two.

I don’t see that ever happening due to the socialist/Marxist threat the Dems bring with them.

A strong R response will be needed and can’t be diluted at this point in history.

How do independent voters feel about President Biden and America after his first year in office? Let’s put it this way: His weak approval ratings might go up if he pulled a Trump and just declared that America was moving on from the pandemic and he was going all in against inflation and high gas prices. Never mind about voting rights or avoiding another Jan. 6. It’s the economy, Joe.

So it seemed listening to a new Times Opinion focus group with 14 independent voters, who are far more worried about their finances than about Covid’s impact, as the transcript of the conversation below shows. Asked what they held Mr. Biden responsible for and what they would tell him if they had the chance, the independents emphasized energy prices, the economy and the importance of being a moderate, as well as a desire to avoid Covid mandates and lockdowns. The virus might not be done with America, but several of these independents are done with the virus.

Two paragraphs worth of information that is important to all voters except political pundits, Ivy League Academics and approximately 1/10 of the Democrat Party. Real smart addressing your remarks to this elite group yesterday, Joe.

The people you need — DGAF about anything you said yesterday. And were not impressed that you spent a whole two hours rambling about shite they don’t care about.

this all of this

as far as independent voters being spineless dumbasses.....i do find many times they lack conviction, princples or even positions on certain policies but they are not always that away. For example when the republican party was led by Bush and he was passing things like the patriot act and in general just consolidating power in DC.....i was registered as a libertarian because i hated how he was shitting all over the constitution, much the way that DEMS have done since he left(ironic after all of the bullshite the media gave him over it and now cheer on the dems doing it).

i changed back to R because i wanted to be able to vote in the primary. and honestly everyone should have some type of party affiliation in the big 2 so you can help steer the party how you would like during the primaries.

sitting the primaries out is fricking retarded.

The strangest part to me about independent voters like this is it doesn't seem to matter how much democrats wreck their lives or fail, they still think democrats are a more "empathetic" party and they still view them favorably.

Its because the majority of people act on emotion, not logic. Democrats know this.

Last week, my daughter played in a volleyball tournament in New Orleans. This tournament is big and attracts some really good team. We had to play a team from Lafayette that was just amazing. They ended up finishing second in the whole damn thing.

I watched this match and told my daughter afterwards that she played well, but there was nothing they could do, that team was really good and would beat them 100 out of 100 times. A teammate's father, who was already on an emotional high due to the trip and the expenses and everything was making every excuse in the book other than "they were better than us."

I started thinking about this - why don't more people follow logic. Its why the same crappy people get re-elected. Its why COVID policies are insane and don't make sense. People generally can't stand to be wrong, and they typically double down no matter what.

I watched the Matt Walsh Dr. Phil episode last night. Walsh was intelligent, coherent and simple destroyed the trannies' arguments but the crowd cheered the trannies. Why? Because they couldn't stand the thought of being wrong.

Yeah, ok man

The choices are terrible 90% of the time on both sides. R's are just as responsible for this current mess.

I have a friend who goes back and forth. He basically wants a change anytime things are “bad.” Bad is never anything specific and he never has a hard stance on anything. I’d rather have a conversation with liberal who at least has a backbone, whether they’re crazy or not.

I know a guy who told his daughter this after a dance competition in Florida and the moms nearly burned him at the stake. He played college basketball and to tell them that sometimes the other team is just better. They weren’t hearing it though.

That’s fair. Let me try again. The fact that there are so many independent voters suggests neither of the two parties are representing the views of those voters.

Yep. Ive taught my daughters to value logic over emotion in decision making and they will be in the top 10% of everything they do.

Emotional decisions are rarely good decisions and usually have dire consequences. I go back to the Walsh segment on Dr. Phil. There is no way, an intellectually honest person could walk away from that and think he was wrong. He destroyed their arguments.

I get your frustration, but many people in this country fall into this category. They simply don't follow or care about politics enough to follow outside of a few months prior to their vote.

They also represent the largest voting block in America.

I would call myself a Republican though I've drifted more Libertarian. I will forever side with Republicans over Democrats on any issue because Democrats are morally bankrupt and will sale any part of America to enrich themselves or their position.

In short, the young blood of the Democratic party hates America and everything it stands for.

Independent voters are largely siding with republicans now and regret their vote in 2020. Independent voters gave Biden an F last night in his speech.
