The tyranny of the freaks is going to end, one way or another, and it's not going to work out well for them either way.

Nah. They posted a dumb, not-particularly-insightful op-ed by this woman who is evidently an idiot.

It's a legitimate question: can the art be separated from the artist. And I think society over the eons has answered with a decisive: YES.

Last time I checked, all the wokesters still listened to plenty Chris Brown.

If they want to cancel someone iconic, let's talk about Bob Marley. He was hideously violent and not great to women.

Jerry Lee Lewis
This is the one I think it could serve to hold more to task. Despite his piano chops, "The Killer" might actually have been that of at least one of his wives. This guy is a scumbag. I can still enjoy his mindblowing solo on "You Win Again", but I don't love the idea of him profiting off of my listens. He has paid basically zero price for his ill behavior.

My Dad and his friends were up on Beale one night getting shitfaced. They decide to drunkenly drive to Elvis’ place at Graceland thinking they’d let them party with him. They get there and there are probably 20 chicks outside the gate. When they get there Elvis rolls up, opens the gate, waves at them and then walks inside. My Dad and his drunk friends were disappointed and drove back to Oxford. Next day my Dad gets a call from one of his friends who tells him just to turn on the TV. Elvis was dead.

1) Beale Street was boarded up in 1977 and there were no bars. The Peabody was completely closed and boarded up. - your dad wasn’t on Beale.

2) Elvis almost never ever used his front gate unless it was for intentional publicity. Graceland had a secret driveway entrance via the church next door.

The vast amount of woke garbage to use for the next election keeps growing larger and larger . . .

They will never learn.

I suppose Ted Nugent was too hot to include in the tranny’s crosshairs?

At this point, they’re truly just becoming noise to even most of those on the left who initially gave them a moment of consideration.

I mean, they would probably love to cancel the Nug… But the real reason for cancelling early Rock icons is because they stole that style of music from Black people. Someone should warn Eminem that he is next.

Really getting tired of of all these people trying to get attention by being outraged by something. They don’t really give a shite about it. All they want is attention. Bitter spoiled bitches.

Last time the media did that, with Clear Channel pulling tons of songs after 9/11, I found a bunch of shite to listen to I wasn’t aware of before.

Nah they just want to cancel anything white. Nobody was more woke than elvis in his era.

Bb king on elvis

quote:

'All of our (Presley's and King's) influences had something in common', King explained. 'We were born poor in Mississippi, went through poor childhoods and we learned and earned our way through music. You see, I talked with Elvis about music early on, and I know one of the big things in heart was this: Music is owned by the whole universe. It isn't exclusive to the black man or the white man or any other color. It shared in and by our souls'. 'I told Elvis once, and he told me he remembered I told him this, is that music is like water', King pointed out. 'Water is for every living person and every living thing'. King raised his finger up as if Elvis was still in front of him, and profoundly declared, 'Water from the white fountain don't taste any better than from the black fountain. We just need to share it, that's all. You see, Elvis knew this and I know this'. 'Many people make the mistake of being wrong about all of this', King continued. 'If you ask anyone, I'm talking about people from all kinds of music - Blues, Soul, Country, Gospel, whatever - and if they are honest with you and have been around long enough to know---they'll thank Elvis for his contributions. He opened many doors and by all his actions, not just his words, he showed his love for all people'.

What did Elvis Presley do to these people?
Do they understand he died August 16, 1977?
Elvis was Southern. He served honorably in the armed services. They had slaves in the South before the first Civil War.
