Turning the Middle East into a radioactive wasteland for the next 100 years or longer due to nuclear fallout wouldn’t do much to help bring gas prices down.

Everyone is not promising to annihilate the USA.

You neo-cons are beyond nuts.

Sounds like a Modest Proposal.

Trump needs to turn the heat up to 11. He needs the Iran conflict wrapped up before Midterms. I don't know what he is waiting for.

Iran is the new covid.

Damn, did anyone tell the hundreds of thousands of residents in Nagasaki and Hiroshima that they're living in a radioactive wasteland?
Not that I agree with OP, but this post is dumb. Those cities are thriving as we type and Japan is one of our best allies

Ever hear of a place called Chernobyl? It was a nuclear power plant that melted down in the former Soviet Union in 1986. It’s located in present day Ukraine. The Soviets tried to keep the free world from finding out what happened until radioactive fallout from the disaster was picked up all the way in Sweden and that finally gave the West a heads up that something had happened. There is an exclusion zone still to this day. Radiation I think made it as far as the Uk and Turkey if I remember correctly. Just because the disaster happened in Ukraine didn’t mean all that radioactive fallout was going to stay in Ukraine. The Soviets tried to build a giant metal structure around the reactor but it was hastily built and didn’t last long before it started showing signs of failing. A lot of countries eventually had to get together and build another structure to fit around the existing structure to keep the radiation from escaping. They had to build the structure and then roll it into place to cover the failing structure.
Modern day nukes are hundreds of times more powerful today than the bombs dropped on Japan at the end of WW2. They might be able to use a tactical lower yield nuke but if it was exploded above ground I’m sure an ugly amount of fallout would occur for the wind to pick up and carry across Iran and to some neighboring countries at the very least.
Who knows what would happen in a situation like but I do know that they tried cleaning up for miles around Chernobyl and still couldn’t get all the contamination up. Cancer rates were outrageously high for years because they couldn’t get it all cleaned up and radiation was in the food people at and water they drank.
Anyone that thinks that we still develop nukes as powerful as the bombs we dropped on Japan in 1945 maybe should not be calling other peoples post dumb.

Horrible idea. Dropping nukes is like declaring war on the world. It's the quickest way to justify any country to nuke us first. Now, let's get back to talking about more sensible topic like annexing Canada.

I see Miss Lindsey Graham has reincarnated into the form of a keyboard warrior.

We were the only one with nukes then. That changes the calculus.
So, they can't be used because others have them?
If that is the case, then nukes are pretty useless.

I guess they don't teach that nukes are a global deterrent anymore.
I guess there was advantages to growing up during the Cold War after all.

Actually the only solution is an extinction event asteroid hitting the planet.

No, I agree. Neo-cons are beyond tiresome at this point. And yet... they persist.

one of these days, you will learn that the problem child in the middle east that keeps things stirred up is israel, not iran.

Ehhhhhh.......you know, it's Monday night, middle of summer, it's hot outside, no football, baseball is not interesting yet, reruns and bad algorithm generated movies on Netflix......and no Slamball on ESPN.
So he's bored

No question. If we are resorting to nukes, the plan has failed.
