Bammers really are The Brookies of college football. Spoiked kids who want daddy to fix their problems after getting blown out by Oklahoma

Ya think so. Tell me how you feel when two SEC teams are in the Finals. Polling is nothing but "the numbers game" to create the most market influence. Regardless, the SEC will cause them to have to change the rules, yet again, in an attempt to create "parity".
The SEC is always going to be dominant. Georgia and Bama played each other for the title in 2018 and 2022. An SEC team plays for the title almost every year regardless of the format.
We will see how it shakes out but a lot of teams could get into the championship this year given the new format. And Bama isn’t a contender.

Agree strongly with your sentiments. Just hang in there - the pendulum will begin to swing back towards a sense of “traditional” normalcy, just as it has made a nice move back towards as evidenced by Trump’s surprisingly strong victory.

Saban retired because he's old. Had NIL hit it's peak ten years ago, he would've been beating everyone else about the head and face with it, just as he's always beaten everyone with the shite he's bitched about over the years.
This is very true. When teams went to things like the hurry up, no huddle Saban was asked what he thought about it. He replied that he didnt like it but if that is what everyone was going to do he would adjust and beat them at it.
We didnt run HUNH much but we did some when we could catch someone off guard or with the wrong players on the field. He also recruited smaller, faster but stronger linemen. We went from 400# Mt Codys to 285-300# guys that could run a 4.6\40.
Potus2024 can say whatever he wants but Saban was the GOAT in adjusting to changes and the ability of replacing coordinators. That cannot be disputed.

For years, Saban always had something to bitch about in the off season, and you could straight up count on him beating the shite out of everyone with the very thing he bitched about the following season. This includes NIL.
Before Saban retired, he and Alabama (just as Alabama does now) had full command of NIL, but shite at some point you get old, tired and you just don't want the bullshite hassle anymore.

If you want to watch football that is played for team and school the way it was 100 years ago, watch the Army-Navy game today or FCS football.
FBS football has become nothing but mercenaries.

Please get this College Football crap off of the PT.
"College Football" no longer exists. It's professional or semi-pro football now. I know that many CFB fans are having great difficulty dealing with this reality because, somehow a huge aspect of their personal identity is damaged or destroyed, but my point remains.
College Football has nothing to do with Politics or Policy.
Football for college and university schools is a pro sport now. Deal with it. The best pro football around is the NFL. Why watch the inferior pro football product?
All college football teams will struggle to field a great team. Why? Because the roster will not include a team that has worked together for any more than one off-season. The roster turnover won't permit any level of high competence.
If you want to see competent pro football watch the National Football League.

Trump should appoint Saban as cfb czar before it is totally destroyed by NIL and portal. One of my greatest joys in life is college football. I think Saban could help fix it.
Activist judges are the problem and a CFB czar wont fix it. Congress can pass some kind of legislation but the activist judges will still find some way to poke holes in it.

No, the government doesn't need to get involved in trying to solve every perceived "problem" in society.
The government caused the problem when the judicial system basically said there can be no rules. Yes in this case, a government intervention to roll back another government intervention is necessary

Seems to be quite a bit of parity in CFB this year.

Saban wants the govt involved and Saban is a big reason the game is jacked up right now.
Nah. I don't like Nick Saban, but he's not the reason the game is f'd. The reason is simple. It's the same reason all entertainment is f'd. Just follow the money. People that hate your guts own the industries and want to tap your wallets. That's it. Sports and entertainment in general is just a means to an end for these people. Take your money and tell you what to think.
frick them all.

Funny you should say that.
Saban and Ted Cruz have met a few times to discuss this exact thing.

Just do away with it.
Decouple sports from schools.
It's seriously retarded when you think about it.

Saban is a democrat. Plus I don't think he wants anything to do with that NIL mess
Posted on 12/14/24 at 12:44 pm to kjntgr
Yeah. That' what CFB needs. More government.
Posted on 12/14/24 at 12:45 pm to kjntgr
We need less government, not more.

Saban ran like a bitch when everyone was allowed to pay players too.
Posted on 12/14/24 at 1:03 pm to kjntgr
Saban being allowed to cheat for over a decade when no one else could contributed to its demise as much as any other single factor.
They had to institute the transfer portal and legalize the cheating just to introduce some parity back into the game.
What a silly suggestion.
