This is an absolutely horrendous look for Desantis.
How are you connecting this to DeSantis?
He has not signed the bill nor even talked about it.
This is the work of one state legislator from Florida from what I have read.

What about newspapers or tv stations that run ads by Big Pharma? Does this apply equally to those news outlets?

This is the end for Desantis. The last straw. I was considering voting for him but not after this.

Tell us how this bill is connected to DeSantis.
Get a clue. Right now you don't have one.

No you weren't.

Hypothetically, an agreement "Decatur will receive 4¢ for every pro-Potatobrain post on this site," would fall under the "or will" premise.

Republicans suck man. I hate both parties

quote:The Conservative Treehouse has up a donation button. If Sundance has to register with Ron, he may stop writing any vetting articles about Ron. See the point in control?
Yet those cheap cigar smoking douchebags on the podcast that did an hour of OMB and love Ron. One sits on the PV board and got OKeefe fired. Who paid them?
Who paid that one lefty blogger to get a plug on the twitter Files release with AG Barr writing an article in her blog first thing? She and the douchbag podcasters are ready for Ron, they won't be harassed or fined.
ETA: If Ron is worried about fleecing bloggers maybe he should stick to his day job?
Ron can go GFH-he has the power of the entire govt behind him. And he thinks he can shut down Conservative Treehouse, and many other sites as the only news we have? Just because Karl Rove and Turtle want to know IF Trump or a Trump PAC is funding bloggers?
So what if they are? No one wants to watch the special Florida podcast they started just for Ron. Why is Ron acting like Eric Holder?

The emphasis is neither on the blogger or the critique. It is on revenue.
But only talking about elected officials, talk about anyone else and it’s fair game?
Only tyrants do this.

They want to know who is funding oppo research against DeSantis and shut them down with fines daily.

Sen. Jason Brodeur's bill, titled "Information Dissemination," would also require bloggers to disclose who's paying them for their posts about certain elected officials and how much.
"If a blogger posts to a blog about an elected state officer and receives, or will receive, compensation for that post, the blogger must register" with the appropriate office within five days of the post, the legislation says.
It defines "elected state officer" as "the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, a Cabinet officer, or any member of the Legislature."
Failing to register would result in a fine of $25 a day, and the penalty would be capped at $2,500 per posting, NBC affiliate WFLA of Tampa reported.
The bill says the bloggers' reports to the state "must include" the "individual or entity that compensated the blogger for the blog post, and "the amount of compensation received from the individual or entity."

They will probably have to raid Trump with the FBI now. The last time Trump won a CPAC poll he was raided days later. No one cares about Ron's book-Even with George Soros, The Kochs, Bush's, buying them, they are in a panic.
I just saw all over MSN headlines that Trumps staff are in fear of indictments. It is ridiculous at this stage. The jig is up.

Exactly.
Whatever the intention here, any bill of this nature will be ultimately be used to censor dissenting opinion about the bipartisan ruling regime. And anyone who claims otherwise has been in a coma for the past 25 years.
This is why parents who attend school board meetings are being deemed as domestic terrorists by the FBI. This is the Patriot Act redux.

Only applies to bloggers acting as paid lobbyists.
You can write an unpaid whiny bitch blog about Desantis all day if you’d like.
