These projects seldom produce the projected number of permanent jobs that they advertise. Meta is saying 1000 permanent jobs, the project will be lucky if it produces 500 permanent jobs. These places are essentially warehouses with servers....and will be highly automated.

How does an arrest warrant for the AG based on the most laughably ridiculous assertion I can remember seeing underlying an arrest warrant equate to wanting to work with the state?

Serious question - how does Moreno have a say in that? Where did it come from? I am not up on the facts here.

I have not been to NO in 10 years or more. But back then it was almost entirely a tourist town. There may have been a few oil companies with residual offices but they were mostly gone and the remainder were leaving….

It seems like NO is shrinking in Econ impact and pop and eventually will be a minor player in the whole scheme of Louisiana

I don’t expect NO to keep their pro sports franchises

To be clear, your position is that it is reasonable for a state's governor to attack their state's producers?

New Orleans started it.
The government of New Orleans produces nothing.
The state controls the state.
New Orleans is part of the state.
The state can compel New Orleans to comply with state rules and regulations.

Louisiana ranked 47th overall in business competitiveness
Ranked 16th highest budget per capita.

Fighting over how important or unimportant NOLA is to the state when the clowns in BR could be doing things to make the whole state competitive and prosperous.

Retards.

What did New Orleans ever do to you?

quote:

New Orleans' population shifted significantly between 2000 and 2025. In 2000, the city had 484,674 residents (67% Black, 28% White, 3% Hispanic). By 2025, the population shrank to roughly 362,154, becoming 55% Black, 31% White, and 8% Hispanic.

We have a lower black population now than before the storm (by raw # and %). I agree that NOLA has trouble attracting the middle class, which ends up living in 4-5 surrounding parishes. Even middle class blacks move away.

New Orleans is now the 59th largest metropolitan area in the nation in the same neighborhood of Bakersfield, CA or McAllen, TX. In other words, almost completely irrelevant. Having lost over 36k residents just since 2020, its well on its way to being gone by the next century, as it should be.

New Orleans is a shithole run by retards. The current retard is proving her retardation increasingly each day.
He will make her bend the knee at some point, as she should. Each day she resists will make it more painful. The small subset of wonderful people in nola will ultimately pay the price for her arrogance

I would argue that the growth in Lake Charles from LNG boom currently makes LC as important to LA as NOLA and that's in a city with 1/4th the population

Not anymore. This used to be the case but now New Orleans is a drain on state coffers. Thanks Dimocraps!

What specifically are you referring to?

Since you aren't an emotional mess, can you explain specifically what you mean by this?
quote:

I wouldn't classify demanding Orleans Parish "operate exactly like the rest of this state" as "declaring war".

What specifically are you talking about? What way does New Orleans want to operate differently from Louisiana?

You'd have to ask Landry. Why is he singling New Orleans out?

Besides, that tax revenue comes largely from the port

the SALES tax revenue comes from the Port?
