Louisiana was built upon a coastal delta created by the Mississippi River during the past 8,000 years as sea level rise due to glacial melting in the last ice age slowed.

Whoah, hold up. Sea level’s rose and glaciers melted 8000 years ago? I was told this is only happening because of my SUV and beef diet.

That's one way to put. Rampant crime with a nauseating stench would be another.

and the glaciers extended down to the Ohio river

I wonder how far down they'd come if we "fixed" global warming.

So if this were true then the banks would quit lending money to buy or build in NOLA...

Moving away from a reliance on dirty energy sources and embracing renewable options is crucial. On an individual basis, the decisions we make can be part of the solution. Installing solar panels, using induction stoves instead of conventional ranges, and choosing an EV for our next vehicle purchase are all small ways we can help reduce heat-trapping pollution — and these actions aren't so small when enough people do them.

That's assuming Man, occupying far less than 1% of the Earth's surface, is the cause for any temperature rise.

Here’s what you do.

Dump Nola. Dump Red Stick. Go ahead and let the Mississippi flow into the Atch just like it wants to. Then center the state on Morgan City.

You’re welcome, Louisiana.

You are talking about folks that wanted to stay in their projects during and after Katrina.

Windmills are not a viable option for alternative energy source. Very few people know that they are being subsidized by our government. The propellers are not recyclable. The amount of grease used on each is just asinine. A family member works on them and said they are a money pit.

One day centuries from now people will wonder if they’ll ever locate the lost city of New Orleans just like we do with Atlantis
