Netflix doesn't have anything anymore. It has a couple at best originals.

HBO Max is just simply unmatched in library and exclusives now. Why even load up pedoflix.

I had Netflix a few years back and the content was horrible.

Went to my aunt's house over the weekend and scrolled through her Netflix acct...its worse than it was when I cancelled. Who's watching this shite?

They could have competed with House of Cards, Marco Polo, and other interesting concepts.

But they injected so much globohomo into all of it that they fricked themselves.

Literally: Thanks, Obama.

I wouldn't say that at all. Most of the tech stocks are doing well, but streaming services space got very crowded the last few years (Hulu expansion, Disney+, HBO Max).

Netflix doesn't really have a great library anymore and nobody cares about most of their originals. They've shot themselves in the foot multiple times.

I bet they have a shocking number of accounts just getting autobilled from just having it forever.

Now that changing credit cards still allows autobill charges you have to actively cancel it.

Once people finally read a bill Netflix is so fricked

And their woke ideology can be catalyst/trigger to cancel - due to the point you made above.

Its like Blackberry.

Blackberry was ahead of the game but once the Apples and Googles got cranked up, it couldn't compete in terms of creating not just phones, but apps and ecosystems such as tablets. It just didn't have the capital to do so and fell way behind into oblivion.

The major studios/networks now realize their old content is worth something so they are merely copying netlfix while holding on to their own content. Of course, they can throw money at their streaming services.

Netflix will have a hard time competing against them as they figure it out. It doesn't have a subsidy as does Prime either.

Once S4 of Stranger Things runs, there's literally no reason to keep them on board.

I'm not even really pumped for that, considering where it was going last season. I've been sailing the high seas for Netflix content since I dropped them 2 years ago, and I'm not even willing to do that for stranger things at this point. I'm not into the witcher either. It just falls flat for me.

I will watch the conclusion of Ozark, though nothing they have coming up appeals to me.

Too Perverse - Attempts to subvert expectations have led to predictable and cringeworthy shows/movies. By injecting racial, sexual, and gender issues into everything, the narrative suffers and the shows become a parody of the causes that they attempt to force feed audiences.

quote:

Lack of Value for price increases - As prices for the service continue to climb, the value of the content provided has sunk. As demonstrated above, Netflix took its advantage and has wasted the opportunity by investing in ideology over entertainment. The network has clipped shows that audiences enjoyed in favor of shows that adhere to a strange mix of Egyptian Book of the Dead religiosity and monarchist/technocratic polity. While capturing the attention of smooth-brained fetishists is a bold position to take, I imagine that audiences looking to not be indoctrinated will turn their attention elsewhere. And once you're searching for a title to watch more than actually watching content, then you realize that the cost of the service is not worth continuing.

I feel like these two things are really what is biting them in the arse right now. When you read the description of a new show they put out and you can tell it's nothing but a SJW slobfest and they're going to flaunt it in your face. It's become tiresome and predictable. Aside from the kid's shows my kids love, there is simply nothing worth watching on Netflix. If there is, it's usually available on another streaming platform as well.

They've recently thrown out the idea to include advertisements. If they do that I think it will cause more people to cancel their subscription. My main draw to Netflix is that there are no ads and I can watch shows uninterrupted. Without that, I have no reason to keep it.

I tried watching one. Could not get past the pompous was oozing out of his voice and I was left wondering if maybe there was a way to remix out his voice and put in another, because otherwise, it was interesting.

The Netflix Originals that they've been making for a few years are horrible. I'm not surprised by this.

They'll be on Blockbuster's level in 10 years.
