NFLX was already down over 40% YTD, but it’s down almost another 10% since yesterday.
This seems like a bellwether stock.

I think it’s down more than 10%

The “Netflix and chill” phenomenon is likely damaged due to increased prices and Covid fricking up people’s hookup options.

Putting Hussein not only on the board, but having that crooked frick narrate one of their otherwise interesting documentaries is the reason I won't watch it.
frick 'em.
frick 'em.

You might want to check again. It's down 35% as of right now. it started last night in after hours trading after their quarterly financials were reported. They were expected to pick up 2.5 mil. new subs, but lost 200k instead. They are expected to lose millions more in the next quarter.

Once S4 of Stranger Things runs, there's literally no reason to keep them on board.

I thought this was satire but it's real.
Clown world - I hate this world.

Who would have thought that losing tons of shows to other streaming apps and paying Barak and Big Mike millions of dollars to make shitty movies wouldn't be successful?

I cancelled my Netflix back in December. was I just ahead of the game?

Netflix was revolutionary in popularizing streaming over cable. But since that time virtually every other media company has caught up with their own streaming services. The initial advantage Netflix had has been diminished, if not almost eliminated. Thus, they have to compete with their content...which is mostly crap

What about S5 of Stranger Things?

If it drops at one time as opposed to an episodic posting, you don’t need Netflix again until S5 drops. If you are still watching it after S4.

Conservatives need to keep canceling their memberships. We have to make these woke companies pay .

At $99.99 (the current price) in my opinion it is STILL waaaay overvalued!!
Netflix should be in the mid $30’s if you ask me! It has still ways to go down in my humble opinion!!

Just told Mrs. Zwin it’s time to cancel.
Nothing political. It’s just shite content.

I lasted about 10 secs into the documentary. I was totally pissed they got that frick to do it. Sucks too because I really wanted to watch it.

Netflix has the best User Interface of any of the streaming services, but they have a host of issues irrespective of competition:
Too British - The content of Netflix has begun to more and more focus on a social hierarchy that resembles a pyramidal structure with character actions driven by a single individual speaking without getting group consensus, or by a small group of "elite" individuals who do not seek the support or approval of the people they govern.
Too Perverse - Attempts to subvert expectations have led to predictable and cringeworthy shows/movies. By injecting racial, sexual, and gender issues into everything, the narrative suffers and the shows become a parody of the causes that they attempt to force feed audiences.
Paying too much for unproven "talent" - Netflix has become a money laundering scheme for propping up aging talent and for creating wealth for mediocre talent. The Obamas' deal, Ryan Murphy's retardedly expensive deal, and Adam Sandler's deal alone probably caused the most recent price increases. For example: "[Ryan] Murphy was given a reported $300m, five-year “overall deal”, where Netflix would take whatever he decided to bring them."
Lack of Value for price increases - As prices for the service continue to climb, the value of the content provided has sunk. As demonstrated above, Netflix took its advantage and has wasted the opportunity by investing in ideology over entertainment. The network has clipped shows that audiences enjoyed in favor of shows that adhere to a strange mix of Egyptian Book of the Dead religiosity and monarchist/technocratic polity. While capturing the attention of smooth-brained fetishists is a bold position to take, I imagine that audiences looking to not be indoctrinated will turn their attention elsewhere. And once you're searching for a title to watch more than actually watching content, then you realize that the cost of the service is not worth continuing.
