I haven't talked to this one today, but I have another Israeli friend who I would describe as center left. When I saw him a few weeks ago, he went out of his way to tell me that the Netanyahu court situation isn't nearly what the media has portrayed it as and there's nothing to worry about. I can guarantee you, though, that he and his ilk will not feel as sanguine about this incursion.

Setting almost everything aside, OP is right to the extent that leaders in Bibi’s situation (a nation being caught with its pants down) doesn’t usually survive the ordeal in power.
